CLeaning/Sanitizing

I read in maintenance section that you can only clean with a soft cloth and water, no detergents or chemicals. How is a person suppose to clean, sanitize, without detergents or chemicals ? Am I the only person that likes to kill some germs while cleaning.
Asked by: MrClean
"Here is the list of do's and don’ts to take care of the finish on Pfister Products: DO: 1. Wipe water from fixtures after each use to avoid spotting and build-up. 2. Use only a soft damp cloth and soft soap (i.e. Palmolive, Dawn) to clean the unit. 3. A 50/50 water and white vinegar solution can be used on cleaning the faucet. DON'T: 1. Use any cleaners of any type on your faucet. 2. Use any scrubbers or abrasive type cleaning cloths. 3. Allow water to dry on fixtures as it may cause unsightly spotting."

Customer Reviews

Pasadena 8 in. Widespread 2-Handle High-Arc Bathroom Faucet in Polished Chrome is rated 3.4 out of 5 by 48.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Upset With This Faucet - Poor Build Quality Purchased this faucet brand new and the cold side handle won't move at all after 18 months. Warm side handle is also getting hard to turn. This faucet was a nightmare to put together, and was installed along with a new vanity by a professional. Getting under there to do a repair will be dreadful, due to the design of this faucet and it's connections. I purchased this faucet for the look and warranty. Unfortunately, I'll have to see what the warranty is all about after only 18 short months. I have a bad spine and can't bend or twist, so I'll have to hire someone to repair this thing. This was my first Price Phister product, and may be my last depending on what Price tells me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great look but need to replace cold water handle! This product installed easily and it also looks very nice in our bathroom. I also put this faucet in my master bath too. However, 5 months later, the cold water handle is stuck and will not turn. How can I get replacement cold water handle? As of now, I am very disappointed in the product. If I cannot get replacement, I will be switching brands in all my bathrooms. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Love the look, but the cold handle won't move! This fixture was installed new in both of our bathrooms prior to moving into our new house about a year ago. At this point, one of the handles on both sets does not move on its own. The whole base moves instead. We have tried to fix it numerous times to no avail. Very disappointed in this product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Nice! but... Bought two of these over a year ago and they've been great. One of them had a handle lock/seize up, and had it replaced. After a couple months the new handle is starting to seize. Not sure why this is happening. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Handle binds up after a few months The handle pivots on a bushing which can not be replaced or lubricated and eventually binds up - only solution seems to be a new faucet. Maybe this is why it is discontinued.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful , Solid, Classic I was VERY ready to update our 1990 shiny brass bathroom fixtures and the Pasadena brought my bathroom into 2015! I love the finish and simple style is working beautifully. The style will go with so many decors and tastes. Our bathroom is pretty neutral and these dark fixtures really pop. I love the height of the faucet, there is just a bit more clearance than on our old one and it makes washing my face easier. I also love the pop up drain. Our old drains never seemed to stay tightly closed and this one on the Pasadena is awesome! I am always a little apprehensive when tackling plumbing jobs myself, but with the help of my husband we we banged out the job in no time. Be sure to read the back of the box and get your supplies before you start. I do have some tips for anyone who is ready to install new sink fixtures: 1. The hardest part will be removing your old fixtures. There may be rust and something like WD-40 or Liquid Wrench will help loosen old nuts. 2. BEFORE you start check your water hoses. Our old ones were copper and did not reach up to the new faucet. Measure and go buy some flexible ones that will be long enough. 3. Measure your drain size. Our old drain size and pipes were 1 1/2 inches and our new drain on the Pasadena is 1 1/4 inches. because of this, I needed to purchase a new p-trap, extender to fit up the drain shaft, and coupler to convert from 1 1/2 to 1 1/4 inches that fit onto the pipe coming out of the wall. (Yes this did take me 3 trips to the hardware store. If I had just slowed down and thought it through it could have been one trip:) 4. The drain shaft is pretty long and the first two extenders to the p-trap I tried didn't fit. There was a little notch that prevented it from reaching the threads at the top to securely connect. I hope these little tips help you get your Pasadena installed quickly and easily! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
