What does a 4in centerset mean, when installiong a bathroom faucet?

Asked by: Anonymous
If your vanity has three holes, measure the distance between the two outer holes (for the handles) and there you have the measurement. This unit is 4" apart.

Can the handles be further apart than shown if a deck plate is not used.

New granite countertops have no holes yet. Can I make them as far apart as I wish? More like an eight inch centerset.
Asked by: Seagirl
Pfister model # F-046-SYKK requires the deck plate and will fit no more than a 4in. centerset. Pfister model # F-049-SYKK will allow installation without the deck plate at a 8 in. spread.

When will this item be back in stock? We are building a house and I need 5 fairly quickly.

Asked by: Lauren
Don't bother, look for another faucet, ours rusted and failed after a year! Due to poor design, water seeps down the holes where the handles are and rusts them to the point that the handles will eventually cease and no longer work. If you like the like, perhaps search for the single handle version.

Skye 4 in. Centerset 2-Handle High-Arc Bathroom Faucet in Brushed Nickel is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 31.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Water-Conservative Faucet you can Buy! I love this faucet. I installed my first two 6 years ago and they have worked flawlessly. I love their high arch and the fact that they were designed to conserve water. After all these years, they still look new. The finish is fantastic. Wipe off water spots from time to time and they will continue to look great for decades! I love that they are high enough to fill humidifiers and watering cans. I recently bought a third faucet. I don't find it as water conservative, but think that my plumber somehow defeated that feature. This might be good news to some of you that want a full waterfall flow.In its normal configuration, the flow does not span the width of the spout. The flow is usually divided. This is the best faucet I have ever used and I am very happy with my purchase. I hope to finish off my third bathroom with a fourth Skye faucet in the near future!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect...Love it. I have installed several faucets and knobs and this set is both stylish and functional. The installation was easy and the product is well made and solid. The water fall effect of faucet is nice. I have a normal (not too deep) sinks and was worried about the water spray, but was very happy to see it did not cause any issue. Works great and goes with both Contemporary and Transition style bathroom. Comes with the bottom plate as well. Great water pressure and I do not have to open the water all the way. The finish is exactly as shown and I have received many complements. Worth the price. Very unique.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from extremely messy faucet This faucet splashes water everywhere. I had a plumber install the faucet, but due to its height, the water splashes when it hits the bottom of the sink (normal depth sink) as well as any time someone washes their hands. I ended up returning the faucet and purchasing a Delta which I have enjoyed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 300 % compliments I was redesigning my bathroom 2 years ago and I was looking for something quite different from all the other styles available when I came across the Phister Skye design and immediately I said " That's it.. that's the one " . Knowing Phister faucets were of high quality.. was just another plus to buy this. Needless to say .. it has been 4 years now and no matter who comes over to visit friends, family, or strangers I invite in for a reason, they will always come out of my bathroom and say " wow, that faucet and bathroom is something eles, I have never seen anything like it.. beautiful "

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous fixture. This is as gorgeous as those costing more than twice what I paid. My contractor gutted the bathroom due to a mold issue in the 1967 room. Although my reno budget was bargain basement, I was ready to splurge on the faucet. The Home Depot price is way less than anywhere else. After seeing it online I ordered it at the store and it arrived just three days later. Looks fabulous!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect but... Easy enough to install following the instructions. Fitted, it enhanced the look of my old sink considerably. I do have an issue with the handles though: it looks as though one of them is slightly open all the time.I can't get them to align at 180 degrees and I've tried re-installing several times. I'm wondering if I should have the parts changed...
