Answer:
Yes but you need to get a replacement valve that does not come with this kit. You need to ask a plumber on what one you need or go to home depot the plumbing department and they probably can help you out.

I just asked my plumber regarding this the other day because the hot water was not hot enough. You have to take off the plate for changing the water from tub to shower. Then behind that is your water pipe and the mixing valve. On every shower there is a temp. control for safety because of kids because they don't want them to get burned and the temp. is alot lower than your kitchen sink. Usually it set at 120 degrees and your kitchen is at 170 degrees. There is a little screw which might be behind a plastic tab and thats were the temperature device is and you have to turn the screw to adjust the temperature gage. I believe you turn it clock wise to get it hotter. I had my plumber do this and I just watched him because I had the same problem as you not enough hot water. I hope this helps you out. You could also google your mixer valve which you have to know if its moen, delta, simmons and more than likely you-tube has a video on this on how to change the temperature. Good Luck Read Less

The valve is not included with Pfister Model # R90-TN2K, this model includes the trim only, the adjustment is part of the valve the trim is installed on.

Answer:
You can unscrew the shower head and screw on the hand held shower. However, if you want both the hand held shower and the over head shower you need some type of adapter which Home Depot probably carries.

I already had a dual shower and handheld shower head, so I replaced the old fixed shower head with this nicer one. If you have only a handheld shower fixture I think you should be able to replace it with this pretty easily. If you want a dual handheld combined with this fixed head, we used an off brand dual head and it fits together just fine. Good luck!

Yes. A handheld shower can be added to Pfister model # R90-TN2K which is a trim kit only to an update existing valve. Depending on the type of installation, there are a couple of options.
1. A “Drilless” model such as; # 016-HH5K that attaches to the shower arm without having to go into the wall to plumb in an additional diverter valve.

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 30 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Delta Monitor conversion beware Beware if you are a Delta monitor valve owner. I just purchased a couple of these to replace the oldschool Delta Fake Crystal Ball look. Based on the pictures this looked great. Little did I know that the conversion for Delta Monitor would place it twice the distance from the wall than in the original picture. This is nearly 6 inches and just as a far as the spout. These will be getting returned. February 14, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Use caution in selection Never know what you'll find when you open a wall. Unfortunately this time did not turn out so good. The hole for the valve to come through the wall was very small and the pipes were secured to the wall with a screw ring on the inside. So I ended up with a plumber digging into the wall a bit. The handle sticks out quite a bit and does not feel stable. Might have been worth spending more money to have them redo the whole thing. January 3, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Trim Kit Worked Very Well Easy installation. Good instructions. Looks great. February 16, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Moentrol Faucet Nice faucet but pricey. It came w/ 4+ trim kits, I'm sure that's why it cost so much. You should be able to stipulate which valve you have so as not to have to throw the rest away.(wasteful) If there were more of a selection w/ matching accessories, I would give it a 5 star but w/ no matching accessories & the price. Thank goodness Price Pfister packaged excellent or lots would have gotten lost due to inadequate packaging/shipping materials. March 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great modern look, and easy to install Don't waste your time calling a plumber to install this product for you. It is quite simple to do. It is so easy, the instructions are all pictures and no words. It really looks great. The directions cover a magnitude of different models and brands that it works on. Also the shower head it comes with has adjustable spray patterns. It comes with everything except the drain. April 7, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Modern look, but handle not adjustable. I loved the price and the look of this item for my remodeled guest bath. I had an old delta package that I wanted updated and this fit perfectly. I wasn't happy about the position of the handle when in the off position. Unfortunately there isn't a way to adjust this, so it is something I have to live with. Other than that it is pretty perfect. It isn't used often so I can't speak about durability. It's more for show. September 1, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Did not fit existing valve I have used this product to upgrade a MOEN valve and it worked. But today I bought the product to upgrade a bathroom with a Price Fister valve and the P3 part was just a slight too small to thread onto the existing valve. UNIVERSAL doesn't always mean universal. its funny that PFister makes the product and it doesn't fit. February 18, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sleek Replacement For 2 Handle Tub/Shower I needed to replace my 2 handle tub/shower faucet trim which was Delta and this Pfister trim kit replaced Delta and Moen fixture. It was easy to replace from the old Delta to Pfister and looks so much cleaner, sleeker and updated my bathroom. I just wish it came with shower/faucet replacement valve, other than that it is a great product. I also had to buy a steel plate because I went from 2 handles to one handle. Its alot nicer to have a mixing valve than a hot and cold handles. This one handle tub/shower kit makes everything look cleaner, sleek and well needed update. January 25, 2014
