Rated 4 out of 5Â by BPR2014 Loose Handle Fix
On testing this set, it was found that the handle would not stay in the desired position, to control hot and cold, but kept falling towards the 6 o'clock position, due to gravity. We researched and found several complaints regarding the same problem.
We took the handle apart and examined the differing parts. We identified that a black plastic ring that fits over a white piece of plastic was the culprit, in that the black ring slid too easily around the white plastic. My wife suggested a couple of wraps of electric tape around the white plastic to enlarge it and provide more resistance to the black ring. We tried it, and its working. The handle now stays in place as desired. Time will tell if its a permanent fix, but so far so good.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by JimmyDIY Beautiful Shower Fixtures
I am very happy with the Pfister Universal combo. I replaced old chrome fixtures that were in rough shape. Installation was straight forward, but there were a lot of extra wasted parts (universal). Now that the fixtures are installed, I couldn't be happier. The handle and spout are designed to be large and attractive. The head produces high pressure and the shower stream options are awesome.
For a little over a hundred bucks, this is a great way to give your shower a makeover. My shower looks new again.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by lilly Beautiful Trim but sticks out further than expected
I guess it depends on why kind of assembly you have, but the handle sticks out pretty far. It's still gorgeous but wish I could fix the small problem.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by CGoodloe Faucet system is very pretty, but wasn't super easy to figure out.
Our first attempt to use this set failed because the way our pipe is setup and not because of the item. Plus some of the items such as temperature regulator plate from 'old' equipment that the set says we need to use, we didn't have. It would be nice if we didn't have to use OLD stuff with a new faucet. We could not get any knob setup to work. We were able to use the tub spout , shower head, and the back panel parts at least but the knob/handle part, we could not get it to work on our 1988 valve system. But our old knob worked with the back panel and actually improved the look of the old knob. The new knob parts stuck out too far or so we thought and pieces didn't fit to make it flush against plate and we tried every version in the kit. We looked at videos on a website with how-tos but still couldn't get any of the styles to work for us. It's a great kit though because you have everything you need except no drain plate included so we still have our old gold plated one. This set matches satin nickel and satin chrome colors really well. If you move you can take it with you and use other faucet style parts if necessary for different houses. After sleeping on it a couple nights, we finally realized we had to be doing something wrong and went back at it and got the new knob attached but in an up handle position instead of down because the builder installed the valve upside down. It looked great with the old knob but awesome with the new knob. The problem is definitely not the product and is our specific valve system. Although we had problems getting it to work on our valve system, most buyers won't have trouble unless they have older homes with older type valves.
We recommend you know what kind of valve system you currently have whether Moen or Delta and match that to the kit's Moen or Delta versions.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by ranger looks nice, but important information was only included in instructions and not on outside of box
I was unable to use this product, so can't comment on the quality. Therefore, I rated as average. Once I opened the instructions, I learned that this product can't be used when the volume handle and temperature handle are separate (EVEN WHEN ON THE SAME POST). I thought this product was universal as long as you have only one handle. What I learned is that while we only have one post coming out of the wall, it is actually two knobs (one located inside the other). The volume and temperature handles must be the same for this product to work (which is only clearly stated inside the box on the instructions).
This product does look nice, and my wife still wants to use it even if we install a new valve.
