Answer:
I used the 0.140 spline with the pet resistant screen material and it was very tight. Your screen choice will possibly determine the size. Ask the Home Depot on line or in store tech support. Use an installation tool to install the spline.

Answer:
The spline size is determined by the screen fabric used. I used the heavier pet resistant screen fabric and the 0.140 spline. This worked well but installed tightly in the frame groove. Ask the Floor Techs at Home Depot which spline is right for your application. The spline insertion tool is a must. I used the one with the wood handle. The center support is for the frame only and does not attach to the screen. Read Less

I did not find anyone at the store. this frame requires only 90 degree cuts. I did not find anyone at the store. this frame requires only 90 degree cuts. A hacksaw, file and cheap rafter square are the tools required to cut the frame. you may want a plastic clamp face used to clamp the frame material and the rafter square to a table. Don't clamp it too tight or you will crush the frame. The cheap rafter square flange is laid against the frame with the flat over the frame at 90 degrees and use the square as a guide for the saw. saw flat on the frame face and the groove left by the saw will help guide the saw. Let the saw do the work don't force it into the frame. The hacksaw will possibly do some damage to the square. The file will clean up the edge of the frame material. you may need to use a screw driver and the handle of the file to straighten the frame where the corner slides in. The screen tension will hold the frame together. the opening may not be the same top to bottom and side to side top and bottom, so measure before cutting. I hope this helps. Read Less

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product I fabricated two screens for wing doors on a back door to allow air flow and keep two half grown cats in the house. They were easy to fabricate with a rafter square, hacksaw, file, pet resistant screen, Home Depot Store SKU # 417651 spline and a spline installation tool. It stoped the cats from getting out.
