Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by mkmelt Long life LED replacement for 3 Watt C7 night light bulb
I selected this LED bulb for use as a night light inside the base of a table lamp. The lamp was originally configured with a two-circuit switch, it was later converted to a conventional 3-way socket. I decided to restore the lamp to its original configuration (see photos.)
This C7 LED bulb fits a standard candelabra base. The color temperature of the lamp is not noted on the package but the light given off is definitely on the cool side. Consumes just 0.6 watts, it can be used as a direct replacement for the traditional 3 watt incandescent bulb in most applications*.
* Note: This LED bulb is not compatible with dimmer switches or totally enclosed fixtures. It should not be exposed to the weather.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by catlover Nice and bright, I'm buying more.
These bulbs are nice and bright. They fit perfect in any of my night lights. I have them installed in both motion night lights and night lights with a switch. I had to replace my incandescent bulbs because my night lights were getting very hot and leaving burn marks on the outlets. These stay cool to the touch and provide enough light. I still the glow of an incandescent bulb, however it's not worth causing a house fire. I plan of buying more of these. By the way, Home Depot is the only store that I have found these in. I hope they continue to carry them.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by MrSoul Great for Christmas Village
The houses in the Christmas village under my tree are plastic (Lego), and the standard bulbs that came with the strings meant for ceramic houses were too hot and ended up melting the plastic. I'm using these in place of the bulbs that came with the light string and they are plenty bright and stay nice and cool. The only downside is that they are very directional so it can take some strategic placement to light the houses properly.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by sunshine great for jack-o-lanterns
I'm replacing a 7w regular bulb with these bulbs.
.6w vs 7w. Even though these bulbs say cool color, it is definitely warmer than bluish color. Also, because the inside of the jack-o-lantern is orange in color, the light seems more yellow than blue. Before I inserted it into the jack-o-lantern, the light did not seem bluish to me at all. I say it is in the range of 3000k, which is a warmer white than 6000k or 7000k. Also, it definitely seems cleaner than the regular 7w bulb.
I used electric use calculator, and at 7.9cents per Kwh, If I use this bulb for 24 hours, the rounded cost is 42 cents per year!!!! For 7w bulb, it is $4.42 per year. What a difference!

These bulbs aren't as bright as the incandescent bulbs they replace. Therefore I can't give them more than one star.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by firstsgtbill Close in Size but Bluish Light
I've been looking for LCD bulbs to replace all my incandescent C-7 bulbs, which produce lots of heat, & burn out frequently. These work fine, but the light they produce is a cool bluish, not white. Not very bright either.Major problem is they are LONGER than regular C-7 bulbs, so they won't fit everywhere a normal incandescent bulb will fit. They should last virtually forever based on the literature supplied though if they do fit where you need them. And don’t mind the bluish tint.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by SaintPeteAl tiny, one-directional light
This tiny LED light is probably a good, green product, since it is low energy, small, and reasonably priced for today's market. It shines its light in one direction only, though, so it may or may not work well in your night light. It shines light straight out the tip of the bulb with very little light outward.

It seems to only be 75% as bright as the normal light. If you don't mind, then it isa valuable move....
