What type of receptacle will this bulb work ?

Asked by: Kevin
Several important things to note about this lamp. It is an ED17 bulb shape so you will need to make sure the fixture or surrounding will fit it. Also, it is a “P” or protected lamp. This means it meets ANSI standards for use in an open fixture (“O” rated). The base is a Medium base. You will need to make sure that the socket they have is for a Medium base, as well as able to fit Protected lamps, because protected lamps are keyed a certain way that they only work in special sockets made for protected lamps. Regarding ballast compatibility, the lamp must operate with M140/M90/O ballasts.
