Once again a poorly written non-professional answer. I followed the instructions provided in the answer and also visited the Phillips site. My ceiling fan (MinkaAire Concept II) specifically calls for a mini candelabra base (E-11), tubular shape (T4), 100W Halogen bulb. Neither Home Depot or Phillips have an LED equivalent bulb available as indicated in the answer (in fact I have yet to find any manufacturer who has a Led bulb which meets this specification.
When I talked to MinkaAire regarding a problem I was having with the remote for my fan the technician specifically asked if the bulb I had installed was made by Phillips. I told him no however the replacement bulb I had purchased was made by Phillips. I was told not to use the Phillips bulb as they had indications that some of the remote receiver failures they were seeing were related to the use of Phillips bulbs. Apparently the Phillips bulb generates more heat than those from other manufacturers. Read Less

These lamps will be WAY-WAY too hot for any fixtures other than those they are specifically designed for- that is the reason. Please don't do it. Philips has a few different candelabra base LED candles Use the Home Depot search window and try Philips LED candle or Philips candelabra LED. Keep in mind that the dimmers provided with fans are very poor designs and may not dim the low-load of LED candles Read More

Philips has a few different candelabra base LED candles Use the Home Depot search window and try Philips LED candle or Philips candelabra LED. Keep in mind that the dimmers provided with fans are very poor designs and may not dim the low-load of LED candles well without flicker. If they are just on/off, there should be no problem and Philips makes non-dimmable candles with a low price! All should be available at your THD store. Read Less

This is one of the worst answers I have seen to date. Part Numbers are given yet there is no apparent correlation to anything on Home Depots site or Phillips site. My fan specifically calls for this bulb however, when I talked to the manufacturer (MinkaAire) with no mention on my part of a bulb manufacturer he stated "not to use Phillips bulbs as their use has been known to cause failure of the installed remote receiver). Read Less

Rated 3.7 out of 5 by 30 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by not sure they are reliable I have 3 light fixtures in my house that take these bulbs. I'm beginning to think that it must be the fixture, but I blow one of these out every 4-5 months, more often in one of the fixtures. August 4, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Light burned out in just 3 months The light bulb burned out in 3 months, the last bulb lasted 3 years June 24, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Halogen Bulbs Just OK By Me This brand seems to be average at best for longevity. I "used to" buy this same brand (Phillips) and it lasted longer in th the same fixture. I date the packages when I install the new one and it's been like clockwork, six months and done. So I can speak with authority when I say about six months is all you're going to get. That said, the rating is for a maximum number of hours and I know we use it less than that. May 31, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by This was a good product. Good Light Bulb For The Money, Not As Bright As I Wanted. December 8, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Pleased I read other reviews before purchasing. I was careful when handling and used gloves to prolong the bulb life. So far so good, great lighting...no issues. December 22, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It works Performed as designed............................... November 3, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by works Its a really strange bulb that was in a ceiling fan 12 years since I lived here.It worked and was the only thing out there I could find! October 13, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Candelabra bulb Bulb is good -- as far as candelabra bulbs go...I don't like them as a rule but that is what our fan/light kit fixtures came with. So, working with that only option, the bulb is good and emits enough light for the wattage. MUST NOT handle the bulb with just fingers -- MUST use a tissue or paper towel to prevent any oils from getting on the bulb or it will not last. That's typical for halogen bulbs -- not a negative for this specific bulb. May 26, 2015
