Customer Questions & Answers

Is the actual height 8.11" and actual width 5.75"? I am trying to determine if they will fit in my wall sconces.

Asked by: Thomas
I didn't measure, but they seemed about the same size as a standard 100w incandescent bulb. They are a bit heavier than the bulbs I replaced however. Should work.

The Web Site price states Per Case but the price listed appears to be for 2 lamps.

How many lamps in a "case" and what is the case price?
Asked by: john22202
Correct, they come in sets of 2.

Are these able to be used in totally enclosed fixtures?

Asked by: awjquarter
I didn't read the info on the box but the enclosed information with LED's that I have bought from three other manufacturers explicitly say NOT to use them in enclosures due to the heat they generate. I'm going to assume the same for these as they have fins that are impossible to touch when on.

Do you think I can use them for my outdoor light in front of my house

Will it be too bright or too white? 2700K should be more yellowish that white. I hope. Thanks
Asked by: Chance
Not these. The operating temp suggested on package is more or less indoor, and they should not get wet.

Customer Reviews

100W Equivalent Soft White (2700K) A21 Dimmable LED Light Bulb (E*) (2-Pack) is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product for Fixtures that can accommodate the A21 format Philips finally was able to get away from the yellow color they used in older versions of these A21 format bulbs. The light is very similar to that of the old 100 watt incandescent bulbs - no odd coloring like many of the CFL bulbs. But don't expect to use this in any fixture as the A21 format is larger than the old 100 watt incandescent. Also don't expect to use this for your garage if you use an automatic door; the electronics interfere with your remote.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from pricey, but worth it! These light bulbs are just what we needed. They are nice and bright and are supposed to last for years. At first I was hesitant to get them because of the price, for light bulbs! But, they are supposed to be very energy efficient and are supposed to last for a very long time. So I thought I'd try them since they were on sale. I'm so glad I got them. They are much brighter than a normal 100w bulb, which was just what we needed. We put one in our bedroom and the other in our kitchen and they made it much easier to see in both rooms. We were amazed at how bright they were and were happy with our purchase. I would have given them 5 stars, but they were pretty expensive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bulbs working fine most of the time These bulbs seem to be working fine at full brightness. I will say that a couple of times when using a dimmer (insteon brand) the bulbs, when at about 50% ish brightness, have just gone dark suddenly. Turning them back on full brightness at that point gets them back on-line. Perhaps there is a certain percentage dimming that is too far?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice quality light I've waited a long time for 100 watt equivalent LEDs and they're finally here. These give off a very nice quality light. It's just a bit whiter than incandescent, but with none of the bluish or greenish tint that the florescents have. They dim down to a certain level that's fairly low and then simply shut off. So if you want something that gets night-light dim at it's lowest setting, these won't do that. If you want 'em bright, these are very nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They Work! The 2 bulbs are installed in the kitchen (ceiling). Undimmed, it is to much light most of the time. I had to install a dimmer for this bulbs. I adjust them most of the time to about 60% of brightness, yet when needed I like to have the possibility to turn them fully on. They are really bright. Exactly what I wanted. A bit on the expensive side especially since nobody knows how long they will last. That's why only a 4 star on value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Efficient Light Bulbs These are heavy bulbs. They are expensive. However, they put out very bright light. I had some closed CFC lights in the 75 watt equivalent. These are many, many times brighter. They can be dimmed. They turn on immediately without any warmup. If I live another 22 years, they say that they will save over $222 per bulb. The prices here are better than the biggest internet retailer.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 19 Watts = 100 Watts These LEDs are in two bare bulb ceiling sockets in my basement laundry room. Occasionally the lights get unintentionally left on, but now use 38 watts, instead of 200 watts. The light quality is virtually indistinguishable from the two 100 watt incandescent bulbs these replaced. I hope these LEDs meet and exceed their estimated long life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lights! Camera! More Lights! Lots of light. Longer than a regular bulb so they looked funny in my ceiling fan - stuck out past the glass globe. Light is concentrated at the end and there is a lot of light - do not look directly at these, OW! I swapped them into my torchiere floor lamps so you cannot look directly at them. They light up the ceiling and brighten the room a lot.
