From the specs: > Type: A19 > Bulb dimensions > Height: 8.11 inch > Width: 4.49 inch 8.11 inches is a lot longer than other A19 bulbs I'm aware of. Most A19 bulbs are approx. 4.5 inches long. Does anyone know the correct dimensions?
Asked by: Geoff
Hello, The dimensions of this LED bulb do need an adjustment. But rather than an A19 bulb shape, this bulb is an A21 shape. This basically means a longer height or MOL ( maximum overall length). The dimmensions are: Height: 4.2 inch, Width: 2.3 inch. We will update those dimmensions accordingly online.

Customer Reviews

100W Equivalent Soft White (2700K ) A21 Household Dimmable LED Light Bulb (E*) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 46.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Goodbye CFL I have a large unheated shop in Minnesota where the temps drop well below freezing. For years I have used 200W and 300W equivalent CFL bulbs, but have always hated how long they take to warm up and reach full brightness. The CFLs also seem to have a much shorter lifespan than the manufacturers packaging suggests. Even at 0 degrees F, the Philips bulb comes on instantly with full brightness. It is impressively bright and appears to outshine the supposed 200W equivalent CFL bulbs that are consuming twice as much power in my shop. I am never buying another CFL again and will be converting the rest of my bulbs to LED.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really is a 100 Watt replacement This light really is a 100 watt replacement. It is just as bright as a regular 100 watt bulb, and noticeably brighter than the 100 watt Reveal bulb I replaced. It is wider than a standard light bulb. I had to take the harp off the lamp, screw in the bulb, and then put the harp / lampshade back on - just barely fit. The color is great, you can't tell it's an LED if you can't see the bare bulb. I liked it so much I just ordered another. That will probably be my limit though, because at the current price you really have to put it in places where the light is on 3+ hours a day to get a return on your investment. Lights that are only used sparingly can wait for LED prices to come down before I replace those bulbs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light Indistinguishable from a 100w Incandescent Actually it's brighter! ...and 1/5th the power consumption. As you dim it, the color does not get warmer like an incandescent. This bulb is still quite expensive at $50. This is used in a fixture that is on at least 8 hours a day, in a highly visible location, so I expect a fairly quick payback. It is quite a bit larger than an incandescent and a lot heavier, but mine is an open topped hanging globe where it doesn't matter. I'll need a better dimmer. I've been waiting years for a 100w equivalent LED and this is very good. I'm pleased. But I hope Philips will come out with an "L-prize" version.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent 100 W replacement This bulb is similar to the other Philips EnduraLED bulbs. It has 4 LED panels with orange remote phosphors instead of the 3 panels on the other bulbs. The rated lumens suggested it is brighter than the other 100 W equivalent LED bulbs on the market. Of the various bulbs I have tried, my favorite is the Philips L-prize bulb. That bulb is more efficient than the other Philips models and offers better color rendition. Overall, this bulb offers a nice light quality and appears quite natural. The A21 size fits in the fixture I selected with this bulb in mind without problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Expensive, but great light. I used this to replace a 100W incandescent in a lamp in our family room that stays on pretty much 24/7. The light quality from this bulb is indistinguishable from a 100W. If there is any difference it is that this LED is actually slightly brighter than a 100W. My wife is extremely picky about light bulbs (she has rejected every effort I've made to replace incandescents with CFLs or inferior LEDs over the years) and she is happy with it. The bulb is very expensive, but the quality is great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super bright 100W This lamp is great. It lights up the entire room. The size is a bit larger than the 60W replacement but it does not bother me. Great for poorly lit areas or in a table lamp.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Instant on, dimmable, excellent color, very good brightness. I purchased this to replace a dimmable compact fluorescent that took a long time to warm up to its full brightness. This LED bulb comes on instantly at full brightness (brighter than the CFL). The A21 size was not an issue in the floor lamp; in fact, it was more compact than the prior CFL. I am very pleased. I just wish that the price were lower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great light, but wait for the price to come down! 22w = 100w Philips LED Light Bulb Review: To my eyes It's twice as bright as the 100 watt CF equivalent light bulb that it replaced, and it seemed to be about four times heavier than the CF. Philips did a great job of packaging this light bulb to cut down in thefts, but unfortunately it really made it hard to open this package. I was lucky that I didn't destroy the bulb when I opened it! I would highly recommend that you buy tin snips to use for opening this package! It's that hard! The color of the radiating light is about the same as the old incandescent light bulbs. It is really easy on the eyes. There is no flicker. Long term reading doesn't tire the eyes. There is no radio interference on weak AM radio stations from my light bulb being about six inches away from the radio. I really like this light bulb, but I think that I'll wait a while for the price to come down before I buy any more of them.
