I like the landscape lighting that I've had for years. I hate that the halogen bulbs cost around $5 and never last more than a year. I hate even more crawling around under my bushes changing the bulbs. Let's see $5 x 6 bulbs times 5 years ( Changing 1/year)= $150. $14 x 6 LED bulbs times 5 years ( no changes) = $70. I guess the key is if they last at least 5 years they will have paid for themselves. Not having to crawl around 6 times a year - PRICELESS. (And the package says they should last 15 years. I know all about how long LED's should last, but they still can go bad. Only time will tell.) I just put my first one in I'm very happy with the bright white light they give off. They do not look like your typical flickering LED's that I've seen. I'm ordering 6 more on-line, so that should be a good idea that I'm happy with them.

So I bought one of these to check them against my 11w/12v outdoor landscape lights. I popped it in and was blinded! These things are bright! They easily outshine the 11w bulbs and are nice because they match the color of the halogen bulbs in my outdoor lamps. I've bought a ton of LED bulbs to find the right one to replace the landscape ones, and I've found the right one finally! I'll be going down to buy out the store tomorrow.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by HandyBill This product provides a bright energy efficient alternative to the standard landscape light bulbs
These bulbs are energy efficient and allow you to use a small transfer to power a lot of the traditional landscape lights. I consolidated down to 1 power pack from 3 and have a whiter and brighter light. The old style bulbs burn out pretty quick so far none of these have failed. The only issue is that they are tall and are easier to knock lose if you bump into the light fixture

I'm a lighting designer and I finally found a high-quality LED replacement "bulb". They fit any wedge-base outdoor fixture (such as Malibu Lights). They're a nice white light, are bright enough for most applications (they appear to have the same brightness as an 11W incandescent bulb), take only 3 watts of power, and have a 6-year limited warranty. Best of all, my customers LOVE THEM!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Louis May be expensive But alot Cheaper than the RV store
I replaced the Halogen bulbs in my RV 5th wheel with these bulbs and was suprised Because it gave me more light than the 10 watt Halogen bulbs so by replacing 2 bulbs in each fixture I am saving 14 watts per fixture and for the price at the RV store they wanted $35.00 for each so I concided this a bargin. I am glad they I found them at the Home Depot. Thank You

I'm using these to replace low voltage lights in my outdoor steps. The incandescent ones burn out every few months. The LEDs will last a decade or more.
These lights are super bright and only 4 watts, bright white and easy to install. The only drawback is their high price ($13.)

I bought one of these a few months ago for a project that never ended up happening so it has been sitting on my workbench since then. Recently I decided to put it to use as part of a very large solar light. I just got it working tonight and have to say that I am really impressed with how much light this little guy puts out. I have the light mounted about six feet from the ground and can clearly see a shadow from it maybe sixty to eighty feet away!
Since I didn't use this in any sort of traditional manner, I did a bit of technical profiling. Its actual power draw is more like 2.5 watts but that is OK since it is so ridiculously bright. The unit seems to have a voltage regulator inside of it and runs at full brightness after about 9 Volts. I didn't test the upper voltage because that would be the one that it breaks at. I do know that it runs fine at up to about 14 Volts. You don't have to worry about the polarity, they take care of that internally. Just plug it in either way. Overall, I am really impressed with it.
