Answer:
There are no wires on the bulb. Wires should not be touching the bulb, therefore please contact the company that manufactures the fixture.

Thanks for asking. According to the description on the product, the start-up is instant. However, if you are still interesting in purchasing a start-up, I believe the best advice would be to talk to one of our many Lighting professionals at your local Home Depot store. Rated 2.6 out of 5 by 7 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very bright light bulb I use this bulb in a ceiling fixture I bought at Home Depot. It is used with a 22 watt bulb. They lasted 3 years the first time. September 5, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Broken Products!! I bought 3 of these light bulbs for my home and all three were rattling with broken parts before I could even get them out of the package. I still tried all 3 and only one lit and flickered constantly. The other two wouldn't even light. My old broken ones didn't even rattle when they burned out. Horrible product! October 14, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by If You Want To Waste Your Money Than Buy This................. These last about a year or slightly longer. These are GARBAGE and cannot believe they are being sold at Home depot. August 12, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lasts About One Year!! Purchased one about a year ago and already went bad. The light was used in the kitchen. Everyone in the house works or goes to school and the light is not left on when no one is in the kitchen. This is a poor product Home Depot should stop selling, particularly with the outrageous longevity claim. September 18, 2013
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by kitchen light bulb I purchased this light bulb for my kitchen and have no complaints. It produces very nice lighting so I would buy again. February 25, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Low Quality Junk and Overpriced These bulbs are junk. If you find one that hasn't been damaged in transit, it will only work for a year, as opposed to previous ones that lasted 15 years. The manufacturer is building obsolescence into these bulbs so they don't last long and they can sell more. They are flimsy pieces of junk. March 24, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by great bulb but 1st one didnt work If you get a bulb and there sounds like something loose inside it, return it or don't buy it..it wont work August 20, 2012
