Hello,
A recommended ballast for this Philips CFLni would be from the many Philips Advance list of ballasts.

Bathroom light. It's dark and doesn't emit enough light. I am stuck with this base (it's in a can light) unless I want to do some modifications. Thanks.

Answer:
Hello MedRxMan,
These bulbs can be used with any fixture that has a GX23-2 base that matches the bulb, such as compatible downlights and wall washers.

Rated 2.8 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fits and Works This bulb fits the bathroom can-lights in our early 2000s home. Had to pull out the old bulb and take it with us to Home Depot to match the base configuration because the CFL part of the bulb looks like several other models.. Be aware of 2-pin versus 4-pin. This one is 2-pin and fits our fixture perfectly. July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bathroom fixture light Was the right one to fit the fixture. This particular fixture did not come with a light bulb. Purchased separately. May 21, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Stutter start-up. Very warm color (yellow), which is what I prefer over the cool white sterile blue one that it replaced. Only issue is the blinkie-blinkie before turning on. Just like the olden day fluorescents. I'll keep my eye open for a not-so-warm bulb. Maybe 3000K instead of this 2700K one. May 11, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by outside bulb bulb fit socket and works well - lights well and stays lit April 14, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Cheaper to Cahnge a Fixture Than Replace the Bulb This last bulb I purchased lasted three days in the cold weather. After a couple of years of constantly replacing this bulb and also not having it work in the cold I changed the light fixture to a fixture that does not use this type of bulb. Problem solved!!!! Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Go Fluorescent We recently purchased two exterior lamps that required CFL bulbs instead of the traditional incandescent type. The Phillips 13w CFLNI 2 pin GX-23-2 bulb is an ideal bulb for both indoor or exterior use. It is cooler, with a longer life and gives off a far more pleasing light than what we would get from incandescent. Their slim profile also allows for a light that hug the surface of the wall rather than extending out from the house. June 4, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Phillips incandecent lights don't last! Phillips 13-Watt Soft White (2700K) CFLni 2-Pin GX23-2 CFL Light Bulb simply do not last. I'm lucky if I get 6 months out of this product. I can't recommend this product, or any other Phillips lighting product for that matter. It would be nice if Home Depot could find another supplier for florescent lights. October 1, 2014
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by If this is what the homebuilder chose for the kitchen, what choice do I have? It's a fluorescent lamp. Slowly blinks to life; gets brighter after a moment or two. October 7, 2014
