Bathroom light. It's dark and doesn't emit enough light. I am stuck with this base (it's in a can light) unless I want to do some modifications. Thanks.

Answer:
Hello MedRxMan,
These bulbs can be used with any fixture that has a GX23-2 base that matches the bulb, such as compatible downlights and wall washers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits and Works This bulb fits the bathroom can-lights in our early 2000s home. Had to pull out the old bulb and take it with us to Home Depot to match the base configuration because the CFL part of the bulb looks like several other models.. Be aware of 2-pin versus 4-pin. This one is 2-pin and fits our fixture perfectly.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Stutter start-up. Very warm color (yellow), which is what I prefer over the cool white sterile blue one that it replaced. Only issue is the blinkie-blinkie before turning on. Just like the olden day fluorescents. I'll keep my eye open for a not-so-warm bulb. Maybe 3000K instead of this 2700K one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bathroom fixture light Was the right one to fit the fixture. This particular fixture did not come with a light bulb. Purchased separately.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not great They aren't anything special. In fact, they start petering out really fast. The one in our bathroom flickers and takes forever to turn on. Not only that, they don't put out tons of light. Don't know if it's possible but I'd like to find a replacement (same base and bulb dimensions) that puts out more light.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Significant flickering on start In my bathroom fan/light fixtures, these flicker on and off for several seconds while starting; tried two different units. I have not had this problem with other brands.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from If you like living in the dark, this product is for you. We recently purchased a home with this style of lighting in the kitchen. It's VERY POOR!! The fixtures flicker about 20 times before the lights stay on (Great for a light show) and then it's as if the have to warm up before they produce any real light. Because we are in our 60's the light is not bright enough for us to be able to read by. Unlike our old kitchen with incandescent lighting. There are 9 of these style of lights in a 12' X 17' kitchen. And yes we have had an electrician evaluate this problem and there is nothing wrong with the wiring or the fixtures.
