The PL-C 18W/4-P lamp is also sold in colors 3000K, 3500K & 4100K. These colors may appear “brighter” as they are whiter versus the 2700K color which is more yellowish. However, the light output of the lamps with the different colors is the same: 1250 lm.

If you really need more light he/she might want to consider adding another lamp, which will imply adding a socket and probably a ballast. Or changing this PL-C 18W/4-P lamp for a PL-T 32W/4-P for example (with 2400 lm). This would also imply changing the lamp socket and the ballast. Read Less

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Replacement for Panasonic FDS18E Needed a replacement bulb for my bathroom fixture. Fixture has stamped into the plastic: "Use Panasonic Quad-Type Fluorescent Lamp Model FDS18E35/4 or FDS18E27/4 or FDS18E42/4 or Equivalent." First trip to Home Depot with help from a floor clerk resulted in the purchase of 13W PL-C bulbs which have a base type "G24Q-1" (looks almost the same but the base has two notches on the very outside skirt/trim that are centered). Went with them because the bulb was shorter than the Panasonic bulb I was replacing and I feared if I got the longer bulb it wouldn't fit. The 13W with G24Q-1 base would not install. I took those back and purchased these 18W PL-C bulbs with a "G24Q-2" base (note the "-2" suffix; this base has the notches in the outside skirt/trim that are offset to each side [see photo below]). These bulbs installed immediately with little effort even though they were about 3/4" longer than the Panasonic bulb they were replacing. Works great so far! June 18, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by not up to high standards The Phillips 18 w soft white lights are a low 2700k. The light is yellow. The original lights were 18w sylvania and the light was a higher color. I wouldn't buy this agian. In fact I have been searching for the orgiginal sylvania replacement lights. August 30, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Price, but had to get help to locate it, it wasn't in the light bulb section. There should be a notice in the light bulb section that these type bulbs are located elsewhere. October 13, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Life of light bulb not so good. I use this bulb in a bathroom light, fan, and heater system. The unit requires 2 bulbs. I have to replace one of the bulbs every month because the bulb burns out and at $6 dollars and change it gets a little pricey. I wish I didn't have to use these bulbs but until I replace the fixture I'm stuck with using this bulb. September 15, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by not very good the very dim light. the packaging says a very clear and bright light, but not true. May 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by nice lite nice lite but needed to cut off a little bit of plastic to get to fit my fixture February 25, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Did not work in my fixture The light bulb, although the same size shape and type as the bulb it was replacing, and would otherwise have fit into my fixture, had a tiny fleck of plastic on the end which prevented it from being used. This plastic "fin" appeared to have no other purpose than to prevent the bulbs use in my fixture. Beware. January 6, 2015
