While LEDs are still the newest and most expensive option in the lighting industry they have come leaps and bounds in the quality of light that is cast from them. I purchased 3 of these bulbs for my large pendant style hanging light I have going down to my basement floor level. I wanted something bright but not glaring and soft but not blue. I was very pleased with the amount and type of light these put out. You pay a little bit more up front but in the long run you'll save not only in electrical bills but replacing bulbs a lot less. Also there is no warmup period like CFLs and there is also no harm in switching them on and off without the proper warmup. LEDs are also more size relative to their counterpart incandescent bulbs as they don't have that large transformer base like CFLs do. Dimmable too with a dimmer switch made for LED technology.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by DanW Better than Incandesent
We installed a ceiling fixture over our kitchen table and bought both incandesent and this LED bulb. We found that the LED bulb was actually better. The light from this was exactly the same as the incondensent except it was not as hard on the eyes when sitting at the table under the light.
I would strongly recommend this as an alternative. Its pay back is 3 years over the incandesents and has 5 times the life expectancy. With its candle light emitter, it looks better too!
Going to get more of these for other fixtures.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by trickqba It's okay, but not attractive
I bought this for use in a ceiling fan which inexplicably takes candelabra bulbs. The light output was not as good as the 15watt incandescents is replaced, possibly because of the directionality of LED lights.
That said, I placed them in a chandelier and the light was much better. The dimming was spot on without flickering or obvious 'stepping' as it was adjusted. With crystals in the chandelier, the directionality of the LED light actually added some delightful sparkle.
However, this (like all I have seen) bulb has an ugly base that is not only solid white, which is tough to hide, but is printed on in black, which calls more attention to it. Since most chandeliers I have seen uses the bulb in place of a 'flame' and are meant to be seen, this is a weakness. If they printed only on the box, or in silver or gray on the white, it would be less obvious.
All told, it is nice to have a reliable LED candelabra option, but I think adoption will be low unless the aesthetics can be worked out.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Jajohns LED white light bulb
The lights was very bright white, and with the dimmer turn down low they was still a very bright white.
There is no dimming of the color at all on the led lights, and they call them soft white?

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Greg Worth the steep price tag...
I bought 7 of these bulbs to put in window candles that have built-in photo sensors. They burn very bright but very cool (slightly warm to the touch, as opposed to incandescent bulbs that were dangerously hot). Some flickering at dusk and dawn due to the photo sensors in the candles, but a small price to pay for the conveneince of not having to turn them on and off. The price was more than I anticipated spending, but at 3.5 watts each the energy savings over their lifetime will be well worth it.
