This CFL bulb is the only bulb that is disclosed as "non-integrated" in its title
What exactly does this mean?
All of the other bulbs, regardless of wattage or base, do not identify themselves as "non-integrated"
What is the difference between a "non-integrated" bulb, and the rest?

Answer:
Non integrated means that there is no ballast built in the lamp. These lamps will require a separate ballast to operate the lamp.

I'm increasingly thinking that the source of my problem is the ballast. But I don't have a clue where it might be located.

Answer:
The ballast is located inside the fixture. The plug socket is connected to the ballast.
Please make sure to turn the light off at the switch, as well as at the circuit breaker.

Trying to replace (3) 26w 4-pin, 3cfl (in a triangle shape) with a total length of just = 5 inches each. Need these to replace the bathroom bulbs in downlight cans that came with a new home. Home Depot San Carlos California didn't have 3 bulb, but did have 4 bulb with 4 pins but length of 6 1/2" hangs out of cans. The description of this one says ~ 7 inches which would be worse. Why are there so many lenghts & choices.

1. Is this 3cfl like the name states & pictures is wrong?
2. What does Phillips of H.D. recommend to replace my current 26w 4-pin 3cfl in a triangle shape?

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Only stay on a short while - and then cutout ... I bought two of these to replace the bulbs in a kitchen fixture for my mom. She was so happy that it was fixed, However, she later told me that after the light is on for a couple of hours, the light goes out. I had also replaced the light switch on the wall that same day I replaced the bulbs so I know the switch is good. And since these bulbs contain all the electronics built into the bulb, I can only assume that these bulbs were bad right out of the box .... going to replace the entire fixture and move to an LED model ... Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by good bulb I was helped by staff to get the correct bulb and I had no trouble installing it. March 30, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by 26 watt soft white Need to stock in a multi pack. 7 bucks each for the bubble pack is too much. Cardboard box in a multi will make more competitive with electrical wholesale houses. January 19, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Avoid the Entire Product Line This is one of the worst brands of CFL bulbs on the market. Warm-up time to full brightness is unusually long, while the service life is quite short, much less than the manufacturer claims. Add to that the high price tag, and avoiding the entire product line is a no-brainer. The only thing this company does well is marketing, so despite the abysmal quality, their products are widely stocked, to the point that it can be hard to find other, more acceptable brands. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Lamp post bulb Needed a replacement bulb for an outside lamp post. This was what was required. The correct amount of brightness. June 2, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Half dead right out of the package Original bulb that came in the fixture finally died after many years of service. Bought this as a replacement and right out of the package one half of the bulb isn't lighting up. Turned the bulb around to see if the problem is the electronic ballast or the bulb - it's the bulb. Lame. April 9, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Light for our Kitchen I needed to replace a light in our kitchen. the 26-watt lights that came with the house were a little shorter and these were a little longer and gave much more light for the same amount! the 2700K is perfect lighting for a kitchen and our island area. You should remove the reflector to remove the bulb and only pull on the base or you will break the existing bulb. February 11, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by They Don't Last in Bathrooms This is type bulb I have in master bath and in wet locations they don't last. Tried replacing all three at same time and one failed after two months and other two are still burning. January 27, 2015
