Customer Questions & Answers

Price of 36 watt 12 v halogen par36 is almost 2 x at Home Depot than at Lowes

Price at Lowes is $7.98. Last year I bought the same at Home Depot for $6.97 on June, 2015. What is going on with the price at HD? It is forcing me to use Lowes due to almost doubling the price from last year. Please advise.

Do these come in Red?

I want to change out my landscape lights just for the Christmas season with red. If they do not come in red could I cover them with something? I thought of painting them but I am afraid to do that. Please help.
Asked by: Handymom
We do not offer this lamp in red, as this was not the intent of use for this product. Therefore, we cannot warrant any changes to the lamp.

How do I replace the burnt-out bulb in an outdoor fixture?

36-Watt Halogen PAR36 Light 12-Volt Landscape Lighting Multi-Purpose Base Flood Light Bulb
Asked by: boat
Hi boat, I'm Travis from The Home Depot. Thanks for visiting our site. Outdoor fixtures will often have an outer casing that protects the bulb from exposure to weather. If your fixture has a lens over the light, remove the lens to expose the bulb. Once the bulb is exposed, the wires that are attached to the back of the bulb need to be disconnected and reconnected to the new bulb, using the two brass screws on the back. It does not matter which wire goes to which screw. This is a simple circuit. Wrap the wire around the screw and tighten. Replace the bulb into the housing and close the lens, if applicable. Thank you for asking, -Travis

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Its a bulb alright! Standard par36 bulbs. My application was for landscaping lights. Comes with 2 phillips head screws and has small brass-like shield over the attachment elements to keep the wire to light union from getting inadvertently interfered with (nice). These are the flood type with a faceted lens (not see through clear). About three dollars cheaper per unit than Star Nursery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Bright, perfect fit, great value! I purchased this to use in a 78 moped. I was unsure of how well it would fit or how bright it would be running on the low power of the old Magneto. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it fits perfectly and is extremely bright, I am glad that I bought 2 of them, very good versatile product.
