may i use these 4Ft T12 lamps with an electronic ballast?

actually I'm using them with conventional ballast (inductive)

Those lamps may be used with either a conventional magnetic or electronic ballast, as long as the ballast is marked for use with 40W T12 lamps.

We REALLY like them compared to what we always had. I suspect our kitchen always had cool white, which just seemed harsh (my wife said it used to feel like a hospital). These are much warmer. Granted, is it the 98 CRI LEDs like I have elsewhere in the house? Nope. It does have the artificial feel of fluorescent, but since I'm not re-wiring the ballast or replacing the fixture, this was a great compromise at present. Go with the soft white for your kitchen, you won't be disappointed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fluourescent tube comparison I feel compelled to point out that the warm white tubes (model 422766) put out 2850 lumens versus the 2600 lumens for the cool white tubes (model 422675). If the fixture they are placed in, however, has a bluish tint, more light might come out of the fixture using cool white tubes. My kitchen fixture uses 4 tubes, and I find that using 2 soft white and two cool white together provides more natural color rendering than 4 alike of either type.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it As the other reviewer stated, this does not give the same light output as a cool white or daylight bulb, but obviously everyone should know that going into this purchase. Soft white gives a more yellowish tint and is alot more homey than cool white bulbs. I have soft white bulbs in every lamp/fixture through out my home. I just traded two perfectly functional cool white bulbs with these soft white bulbs and I can already tell I love it 10x more. My kitchen doesn't feel like a warehouse now, it feels like my home. This might actually sell me on keeping this florescent tube fixture and maybe upgrading it in the future.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad choice Bought a 2-pack for kitchen fixture. Very poor light output, less than a single tube that was still functional from the old pair. I have also experienced short lifespan from Phillips tubes, averaging less than a year in both garage fixtures and kitchen fixture. Will not be buying any more Phillips tubes. Unfortunately, this is the only brand HD carries locally.
