Answer:
Hello, and apologies for the confusion. This was mistakenly labeled with a 10-pack sticker, and is indeed only one lamp.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Above reviewer comment appears to conflict with installation instructions... The above reviewer's comment appears to conflict with the maker's installation instructions. In fact NO AC power transformer is needed. The instructions clearly point out how to cut the wires to/from an existing transformer, and then wire the bulb(s) sockets (up to four per fixture) direct to the AC to accommodate the LED bulb(s). I agree the costs of these are notable, and early adopters certainly pay the premium for new technologies. But those who adopt these bulbs will find 1. these bulbs will last many many years and 2. the energy savings would become apparent soon. Aside from the high cost of admission I note these long tubular LED bulbs cannot be dimmed, unlike many LED bulbs that thread into a standard light socket. That said, neither can standard fluorescent bulbs be dimmed - so that is not the end of the world. But that does make me wonder, if we wait another year or two then will Phillps and others make a dimmable LED bulb? October 18, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Way to expensive. Not worth the money. even though description says ideal replacement for T-8, the bulbs cannot be directly swapped out for T-8 fluorescent bulbs. You have to install a specialty LED driver ballast which basically makes the bulb installation even more than $65 a bulb. Very hard to justify buying these when fluorescence are only a couple dollars a bulb. August 5, 2014
