Answer:
Color index is 82 but these Philips lights are garbage due to failing way too quick. Look at another brand like GE

Customer Reviews

Rated 3.8 out of 5 by 12 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Product! Great product. Nice and bright. Will be using them for my seed starting. Two cons though- 1.) The bi pins were a little loose surprisingly. 2.) The packaging is actually difficult to get off the product with worry of damaging the bulbs. February 19, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Burns out fast Burned out after 2 years. Pretty weak considering I installed a brand new ballast with these lights. Phillips will send me a check but, I would have preferred to have them last 10+ years like the previous ones. Going with GE or Sylvania next time. November 17, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Lumens Specifications Listed Incorrect This item only produces 2850 Lumens not 2950. Also the model number ending 664 refers to 6500K Daylight Deluxe Bulbs which are also 2850 lumens;. However they do have a 10 pack off 6500K Daylight Deluxe that specify 2950 lumens as LT85's. I've spent over 100 dollars to get bulbs that specifications listed are not met. Using spectrometer and digital light meters. Still I've managed to get close to what is needed for my project, but what a waste. In the end it would have only cost me around 40 dollars if the specifications listed were anywhere close to item specifications. July 25, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Bulbs and ballast must match FYI. T8 bulbs are not a drop in replacement for T12. When switching from T12 to T8 bulbs the ballast must also be switched out. April 23, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Lasted 3 weeks then both pooped out. I found 2 beat up old lamp fixtures in my uncle's storage, one had tubes the other didn't, so I bought these at Home Depot. The 20+ year old tubes had been running for a month before I bought the Philips Alto pair from HD, I'm using them to grow my pepper plants inside. Well the Philips pair just went dark within 48 hours of each other 3 weeks later, and the old tubes are still going strong. I guess they dont make em like they used to. December 29, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Stay clear of this brand The bulbs failed after less than 100 hours, not only the first time but the 2nd and 3rd time, yes, I was a sucker and replaced them over and over, thought it may have been the fixture, replaced the fixture and the bulbs failed again, I contacted Phillips to inquire about the problem, was told that I may be operating the light improperly, really, how does a person turn a light on or off improperly? Go with another brand if you want to see in the dark. January 28, 2014
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Bright but short life These are bright. A major upgrade from my old T12 bulbs. However the life expectancy is way overrated. The product overview states they will last 27 years with light on 3 hours/day. I got 2 I/2 years out of mine and my bulbs are on way less than 3 hours/day. Don't expect more. August 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Brilliant light Have four of these bulbs lighting my 21x23 garage, and before it was lite by three 13watt CFL's. So needless to say there's a HUGE difference now! Nice bright natural appearing light. And I'm no longer worried about loosing fingers when I do woodworking, and I can actually see when I'm working on our cars! Time will tell if they last as long as they're supposed to. Quite happy with this purchase, and would recommend to others! December 18, 2013
