Can this bulb be used in a can light that states that it takes a Par16 Reflector type bulb (60 watt max)? I want to replace the PAR16 bulb with a bulb that has the frosted glass rather than the clear glass.
Asked by: JPlain
The lamp should fit in the fixture. However, the experience will be very different. 1) The size of the lamp #415406 is much smaller. Thus it will not “fill” the fixture like the PAR16. 2) The lamp #415406 will not have the directional spot like the PAR16. Thus, the lighting will not provide the same experience. The light provided will be more of a “spot light”. 3) Finally, the lumens in #415406 are only 250 while the prior lamp would be approx.. 420.

Do you make a 40watt outdoor spotlight

I want to accent our front door Christmas decorations but do not want to be blinded by the light when we open the door. What do you suggest?
Asked by: Garland
It is had to say without knowing what fixture you have. 40W bulbs should not be blinding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good display With incadescent bulbs soon to be extinct, and with a specialied ceiling can to hold them, time to stock up. I store these without the packaging to keep the backup supply in a small box.
