I use 8 of these bulbs at a time on my home. Though they say long lasting, but I have to replace each about 3-4 times a year. I've had my circuits (separate circuits) checked by an electrician, and have been assured that my lines/breakers are well within the capacity to carry the loads. Everytime I replace, one or more of the multi-pack doesn't work. I either have to make multiple trips or buy extra to save myself time and frustration. Then hope not to have issue returning the defectives.
I like the fit and the light given by these bulbs, but I have to believe you hope to sell a better...longer lasting product.

Bright lights, but the quality and life is subpar, especially from a big name company. These are extremely expensive and I find myself replacing them every 3-5 months. I am looking for alternatives that work with my lighting system.

I need the light bulbs for my recessed lights or outside of my home.
The light bulbs are a 4/pack. The are very expensive and they burn out very quickly. I've dated the bulbs when I replace them. The time frame seems to be only a 3 month span.

The bulb gives off a nice warm but bright light. But they literally burn out in less than 3 months - similar to what several other reviewers have stated. I have 25 of these and have totally replaced EVERY ONE in 6 months. I figured it was a fluke - and replaced them like for like. How dumb could I be - I already have 6 out, 3 months after installing - and over the summer months when they are rarely lit! This is pathetic Phillips - you are much better than that! I am now looking at LED bulbs to replace these loser bulbs - I am tired of pulling out the ladder to change these bulbs.
Ironic that they call them EcoVantage - as they will be filling up the landfills as quickly as they burn out!

Bought a four pack of these energy saving light bulbs. Took them home and put them in a pergola next to a set of 15 year old identical Philips bulbs. Threw the switch and all four were defective. Took them back for an exchange and repeated the process. Success. Two months later the original units are still glowing brightly. The new ones have burnt out two of the four new units. Took all the new ones back for a refund. The old ones are still glowing brightly. Ordered 8 new Par20 LED replacements. They will be in on Friday at HD. I would not waste the money or the gas to drive to HD for these substandard, obsolescent designed bulbs. Save your money unless you are going to use them with a dimmer to decrease the brilliance and increase the life. Old units were 50W rated 50W. New ones were 39W rated 50W. New reduced wattage units are made in China and are yunk.
