I have not had good experience with these types of bulbs - not that this particular brand is better or worse than the others but these are expensive and don't last very long. We have bathroom sconces with these halogen bulbs in them and we have often thought of replacing the whole liight fixtures just to get away from these halogen bulbs. They are very bright, but extremely hot and only last a month or two.

They are good, but with today's technology, you would think there would be a LED version using only <10 W or so. These bulbs are very brighty but also burn out quickly, within 12 months.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Just 2 months of duration. It lasted for only 2 months with around 4 hours of function daily. Be aware. Unfortunately, this is the only alternative for these types of bulbs at Home Depot.
