Answer:
There is no CRI rating on the bulb. The ratings are: 830 Lumens; 11W; 5000K; 120V-60Hz. It also says it is suitable for use with dimmers and in damp locations.

Be sure to use daylight bulbs where color rendition is important, such as in the kitchen where food color is important, and for vanities where grooming takes place. Read Less

Answer:
Frequencies (colors) of light produced by device. 3500k corresponds to warm white which is more yellowish. 6500K is more blue. 5000K is in between the two. Different manufacturers use different terms like "daylight , warm white, natural light" , so the CRI rating is the only meaningful guide. Some stores have displays set up where you can compare.

Answer:
The CRI of the Phillips A19 60w equivalent (5000k) LED bulb is listed at 80 CRI.
Guess we can't have everything from our LED bulb technology just yet... The vast majority of current A19 LED bulbs are low 80 CRI. I haven't found a better 5000k bulb with a much higher CRI...most of those high CRI bulbs seem to be 2700k bulbs.

81. This really is a nice light. The 5000k light is very bright. I have some customers who have preferred this bright white light, but not many. Most prefer either the 2700, or 3000k softer light

Answer:
The R rating usually refers to insulation. It is a value that indicates how well insulation protects against heat or cold transmission. The higher the R rating the better, high rating equals less heat/cold transmission.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.0 out of 5 by 48 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Short life Really like the bulbs appearance, brightness and white light. Warranty says "6 years - 3hrs/day 7 days/week". Mine are in bathroom fixtures, and 2 of 6 bulbs have burned out in approx. one year. These bulbs are not even on 3hrs/day. I looked up the warranty and you have to pay to return the bulbs to Philips with receipt and proof of purchase. Wonder how many people actually pursue it. July 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Burned out in one year! Not happy since I bought 6 and now 1 is burnt out. Expected these to last many years instead of about 1 year. Tried to order a replacement only to find out I ordered soft white and need the daylight. Also, they are not easy to find because the shape has been discontinued. My lights show so I need to match or buy all new ones.... August 15, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does what it's supposed to I was concerned that this lamp might not be bright enough for the ceiling lamp application I had planned for it. I am pleasantly surprised to find it puts out plenty of light. It fit the socket without issues and illuminates the room as well as old bulbs I had previously installed. I'm happy! December 31, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent value, good quality, will use and see how long it lasts I bought my first 5k for an overhead light. This one is slightly too white/bright, so perhaps next time if I go for Philips, I shall try more yellowish specter. Otherwise, the size, weight, speed/reaction, brightness are as promised and as reviews state. May 6, 2014
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Did Not Last Very Long We bought 4 of these bulbs. They are up high in recessed areas in our kitchen ceiling. The bright white helped to light up the kitchen very nicely. The package says they should last about 22 years at an average usage of 3 hrs per day. We've had these bulbs less than 4 years and one has already quit working. I did not take exact note of how long they are on each day, but I do know they are not on much more than 3 hrs per day. I like how they provide good light but gave a lower rating because I expected that they would last as long as the package described. August 13, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Very disappointed. Light already gone out after less than 6 months on a new light fixture. I bought a case of these last year when I was remodeling the house. New light fixture and used these lights and expected them to last several years. I have not been here 6 months and one has already gone out. They are not used 24 hours a day, only at night as it is a bathroom and taking showers. So disappointed in the product. They have great output, very bright, but the life of the bulb is obviously not long for the price paid for these lamps. I will contact Phillips and hope they are good to their word. If they are, then I will remove this review. I hope Phillips stands behind their products which I feel like they will... March 30, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible color light The light reminds me more of a fluorescent light. I have to use a more yellow light with it to soften the look of the room. Really a terrible look. Way too harsh lighting. May 13, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by so review The room is bright and cool. Would be changing entire house with these lights. February 3, 2015
