Customer Reviews

60W Equivalent Soft White (2700K) Spiral GU24 CFL Light Bulb is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 23.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hit and miss............ I have never had success with this type of bulb, no matter the manufacturer. States a life of 9000 hrs. What a joke! One of three lasted all of 2 days. These bulbs aren't cheap in price but they are not dependable. It's costly to change 3 bathroom fixtures just because of a bulb. Don't buy the fixture that would take these bulbs.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from High Quality Bulb Instant turn-on, and near full-brightness right away. Light color is very good; doesn't distort color of objects. Spiral's size and bulb base fit well in my desk lamp (These were issues with a no-name bulb). Only giving it 4 stars because I haven't had it long enough to evaluate performance over time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice value For the wattage, this light provides excellent illumination. The life span is deceptive. I previously purchased this light and was able to get a 2 year lifespan--not the 11.3 years promised on the package. However, the lifespan is based on 3 hour per day usage (and who uses a light for only 3 hours). I estimate that I use this light from 9 to 12 hours as I have it in a dusk to dawn fixture. So, I believe that if I crunch the numbers, I have the equivalent of 11 year life span. WARNING: Don't buy this bulb in the store--It sells for considerable less online and you can have it shipped to the store for free.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from LASTED 8 MONTHS Light has unusual 2-prongs. So it can't just be replace without special trip to Home depot. IF they have any that day. Cannot recommend due to inconvinience of purchasing replacements becaase of weird unusual prongs and it only lasted 8 months from when we replaced the ceiling fixture and the bulb came in it the fixture package.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good price for this non-standard bulb It's a light provides light. The question will be how long it lasts. For the future I believe I will buy the adapter that allows you to use a standard base bulb so I can find replacement bulbs locally instead of having to order them on-line.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Bad bulbs This bulb says it has a 9 yr life and it came in the fixtures I bought. Both died out in less than 3 years of moderate usage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a light bulb It's a light bulb and it's nice and bright. What can you say about a light bulb? How much do you want me to say. It's a fine light bulb.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Eliminates the Ballast! Plug it in and it works! Because the ballast is built in to the base of this CFL it eliminates the need for a ballast. Ballasts are 2X to 3X the price of a CFL, so this appears to be a case in which product evolution results in cost reduction---a good thing. (Note that this survey was sent just a few weeks after the purchase so I don't really know how long the product will last in use every evening for 8-12 hours.)
