Is incandescent the old type lightbulb?

Asked by: Patty
Yes, incandescent bulbs are the old type bulbs.

what is BR30. and what is the difference between that and BR40 on the flood light bulb

Asked by: scooby
BR is a reflector – 30 & 40 are the differences in size – light bulbs are measured in 8ths of an inch, so 30/8 of an inch, 40/8 of an inch, so a BR40 is 5 inches across.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Prefer this natural light! This light bulb was to replace a CFL which gave off a strange light. This incandescent bulb is much more natural looking and brighter. We like it!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from buzzing noise is unbearable Bought a six-pack a few weeks ago to replace two floods that were out and to provide some extras. Sorry now; these things buzz incessantly, no matter what dimming level. I'm going to have to switch them out with another product.
