Two of the first four bulbs I attempted to use were bad. Because I did not want to take the two that did work out of the ceiling I did not try to return it but if many of the other twelve are bad as well it will be a very expensive purchase for the lights that do work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Manufacturing Issues. I bought a 12 pack of these. One of the older lamps went out A few days ago. I replaced it with one of the Phillips BR40. It worked for a while and then broke and fell down. I removed the remaining part with a plier and replaced it with a new one. It was working fine so I turned it off. At midnight I heard it falling down. It was the same kind of failure as the first one. Now I took the remaining part of that one out and replaced it with a regular energy saver. That one is Woking fine. Looks like a manufacturing defect. The glass part seems to come loose and falls down. I am glad it did not fall on my head. Did Anybody else have this issue?
