Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not that great They are supposedly guaranteed for 2 years, but i have some I'm replacing in less than a year! October 18, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by They buzz when used with a dimmer These bulbs make a lound buzzing sound when used with a dimmer. Prior bulbs (Sylvania) were quiet. August 27, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Manufacturing Issues. I bought a 12 pack of these. One of the older lamps went out A few days ago. I replaced it with one of the Phillips BR40. It worked for a while and then broke and fell down. I removed the remaining part with a plier and replaced it with a new one. It was working fine so I turned it off. At midnight I heard it falling down. It was the same kind of failure as the first one. Now I took the remaining part of that one out and replaced it with a regular energy saver. That one is Woking fine. Looks like a manufacturing defect. The glass part seems to come loose and falls down. I am glad it did not fall on my head. Did Anybody else have this issue? February 8, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Price, Good Product The large pack of bulbs at Home Depot's price is hard to beat. The only negative that I have is that the bulbs do not last more than a few months, at best, in a high use area. February 3, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Last They work ok, but some of the light bulbs do not last as long as they should. I had to replace two after just 3 months March 15, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by New BR40s no longer fit in my ceiling cans. I purchased a case of Philips BR40 65W to replace existing bulbs. I have been using these same Philips bulbs for some years now, but the new ones must be slightly larger in the middle because they start to screw in, but get stuck in the can liner before making contact. Tried with 4 bulbs in the case.. each lit when screwed into a something different, like a floor lamp. Hard to understand and disappointing. I'll have to go to a BR30 bulb, or find a different make of BR40 bulb. June 24, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Job! The customer service ladies were really good! They helped me get over a pickle! September 1, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by The Worst Experience I bought 12 Phillip BR40 Light bulbs at Home Depot on Dec. 24, 2013 to replace the energy saving type lights that do not do the job. I expected to replace 12 ceiling cans with the new bulbs. What a disappointment. 6 of the 12 lights did not light up! Waste of time! Not sure if Phillips is to blame or Home Depot's ability to turn over old stock, but why should I waste my time this way? I should add, I was actually in Home Depot to buy my husband a DeWalt drill. Online indicated that the drill was in stock and had 5 drills. Got there and there was not 1 drill in stock. Why would I want to shop at Home Depot again. January 4, 2014
