Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DaleB Nice for 1/2 Bath
My wife had put a CFL light in the bathroom and it took a while to light up. This turns on almost instantly. Now I want 5 more for my master bath, and 2 for my great room. It's nice they're on sale for $14.97. I couldn't find them cheaper anywhere else. It appears to be about 1/4 inch longer, but it's not. The silver band and different shaped end makes it look longer. If your can/rim aren't securely attached, the heavier bulb will pull it down some as you can see in my picture. It appears I need to look at the way my can is attached, so the weight is going to make it a bit of pain..

I think you pay a little more for the Phillips but I think overall they are worth the money. The Quality is the best I have seen in all the LEDs out. I have replaced most of the bulbs in my house with Phillips LEDs and have not had any problems. The Bulbs look great in can lighting. They Dim up and down very well even with my older (not LED rated) dimmer. I try to find the ones that have been reduced in price and buy a few each payday so I don't go over budget. I hope this helps if your Looking to switch over.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TicToc Great light... great price..
Picked up at HD for around 16 a piece. Replaced 15 total 65 watt incadescent recessed bulbs. I was very happy 2700K light range which produced very bright light. They were so bright, I put an LED dimmer for $20. A side note, when using the dimmer switch, the lowest range of the LED is still brighter than the lowest range of the incadescent bulb. Also, after you add the dimmer switch, it takes a second for the lights to come on. Not a big deal for me!

This ceiling can flood light has excellent features:
1. Uses only 13 watts, easily producing at least as much light as the 65 W bulb it replaced.
2. It comes on instantly with full brightness.
3. It fits nicely in the can, with apparently the same outer envelope as the bulb it replaced.
4. If it lasts the 22.3 years advertised, it represents terrific value.

Bought this to replace a dimmable CFL flood bulb that burned out (before its time). Warm light with good color balance at a good price. Dims well.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Paulman Good bulbs may qualify for energy rebates!
I looked at several bulbs before making a switch to LED, after all there is no way I am going to spend almost 10x the price of regular BR30 bulbs unless I am sure I am buying a good longterm replacement. I read plenty of reviews from a well known online retailer before buying this but I bought it locally just in case their was a defective one as I bought 8 of them at the same time. This bulb works well, has a decent color, and is dimmable with the correct type of dimmer switch. I would definitely try to find rebate options, as here in NH there was a $5 rebate per bulb for Energy Star rated bulbs and this one qualified. I would buy this again if needed.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by enginerd Wife can't tell the difference between these and Incandecents
1/5 the power draw and 1/5 the heat production (a big deal in the hot Southeast) and my wife is none the wiser. We have an array of 6 can lights recently installed in the kitchen and the first incandecent burned out after just 3 months. I'm hoping these lights will be more reliable, but they've already proven to be much cooler (temperature wise).
The best part is that even when they are off it is hard to tell the difference between the old-school bulbs and the replacement LEDs from Philips.
I wish they weren't $30, but if they last half as long as they claim on the box then the numbers will work out in the LEDs favor by a good margin.
