I tested many light bulbs from all the manufacturers. I settled on these lights for my kitchen. They are awesome. The light emitted looks like traditional incandescent light. They dim very low. They are brighter than my old 65 watt lights. I removed two cans. I only have 6 lights now instead of 8. My electricity bill dropped. I am very happy with my purchase.

I'm surprised that these are discontinued, they are by far my favorite LED bulb (I tested about 10-12 different models before landing on this one). They have the best color range, esp. when you dim them low and it changes to the 2200K LEDs and they were also the most quiet (some of the other bulbs had a bit of a buzz/hum when dimming, these do too but not close to as loud as the others).

Rated 5 out of 5Â by TheDoctor These are absolutely the best ones on the market today
Bottom line â these are absolutely the best bulbs out there â
and I know what I'm talking about !
A little background â
I have converted my whole house to LED lighting.
I wanted good lighting, and didn't want the inefficient incandescent bulbs, though their light is great.
I did have compact fluorescent (CFL) bulbs, but never really liked them â I don't like their light, the fact they contain mercury, many take time to warm up, and they don't dim well.
LED's are the way to go, but the technology is still developing and many have problems â trust me, I've tried so many I can't count them. Some have poor light quality (or color rendering index, CRI), many don't dim well or very far, many flicker when you have just one in a dimming fixture and put on a light show when you get 3 to 6 on a dimmer, others hum so much they would drive you crazy â these, while expensive, have none of those problems.
The dimming properties are amazing â not only do they change color as you dim them, as do the old incandescent bulbs, but they dim REALLY far. In my main room I have 18 of these puppies â can make it bright as day in early evening, and them dim them as night comes on â and they can be dimmed so far down that I can, with all 18 on, light a single candle and that is the brightest thing in the room, almost too bright.
I think in the future there will be many good ones and the prices will come down a lot â but if you want some good bulbs today to keep for the next 20 years or so, these are the ones.
NOTE: I first ordered these from another supplier, but they sent me another Phillips BR30 â not the âDimToneâ â while these others are pretty good, they don't dim as far or change colors; I sent them back â got some new ones, and still had some of the wrong bulbs in the shipment, and again sent them back. I then ordered from a different supplier and same result. I then tried Home Depot, and just ordered a couple to make sure they sent the right ones â and they did. I then placed another small order, and again they sent the right bulbs. And then I placed a third order and they got it right again! So, if you order from someone other than Home Depot, make sure you get the right bulbs ! Make sure the package says âDimtoneâ on it.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by AidanD55 Nice dimmable lights - slight noise
I read James' review, and ordered these lights. I agree with everything he said.
I actually had some other dimmable LED flood lights that I tried in the location. My wife and I agreed that the standard lights were too white/blue when they dimmed. The "regular" LED bulbs dim to this pale moonlight white sort of glow. As the name and product description state, these particular bulbs change color when they dim, to a more golden yellow/orange/sunset type glow (much like incandescent lights). When they dim, they are a lovely, warm light.
The only issue that I noticed is that these lights do have an audible hum. I'm not sure if that's a "feature" of all LED flood lights, but I noticed the noise in these. The hum is the only thing preventing me from giving these 5 stars.
However, that said, the noise isn't that much. I'm ordering more of these lights for another location.
Hope this helps you!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Fred Exactly what we were looking for...
After reading the other views here and purchasing another brand of LED flood lights, I decided to purchase these. We were looking to replace our incandescent flood light bulbs in all of our recessed lights.
I purchased another brand, and the light would not dim as low as our incandescent bulbs. I had read that this was very common with LED lights. On the lowest setting, the light was a lot brighter than what we were used to on the lowest setting for the incandescent bulbs. Humming, noise and flicker were also common issues with LED lights.
After doing research and reading reviews, I decided to order two of these to test them out (Home Depot allows you to return them to a brick and mortar location if you need to return them).
They are heavier than incandescent flood lights, but did not weigh more than the other brand we tried. I installed both of the lights across from each other. I had my dimmer switch on the lowest setting and turned it on. To my amazement, they came on instantly and the lights were identical to my incandescent lights across the room. The light was a golden yellow/orange glow which is exactly what we were looking for. I had to look back and forth at the incandescents and these LEDs' and could not see a difference. We also had Lutron and Leviton dimmer switches installed for our recessed lighting. I listened for any noise or hum and there was none. Then I slowly turned my dimmer to its highest setting and the lights grew brighter without any flicker. These LEDs' are definitely brighter than our incandescent flood lights and we most likely will not set them that high unless we are looking for something! But the lowest dimming setting is what set these apart from the other LED lights and why we purchased these. Surprisingly, after an hour, these lights were remarkably cool to touch.
They are more expensive than the other LED flood lights we found on various websites. Prices will eventually go down, but I think these are definitely still worth it.
I also agree with TheDoctor when ordering these. Make sure in the description it mentions the "Dimtone" feature. This is what sets these apart from the other LEDs'. I wanted to order a 4-pack of these, and found them, but realized they were not the "Dimtone" flood lights. I ordered these and received in a few days from Home Depot.
I never thought I would get so excited about new light bulbs...just give these a try and you will see what I mean! Will definitely save you money in rising energy costs and replacement as they are designed to last over 20 years.
