I want to replace 60 watt incandecent lamps in recessed housings in my kitchen ceiling.

i want to replace the 60 watt bulbs with the brighter 920 lumens 75 watt halogen flood above. Any problem?
Asked by: Clair
As long as the fixture can handle 75 watts there is no issue. If the maximum wattage is 60W, please select the 53W Halogen PAR30L.

75 Watt Equivalent Halogen PAR30L Dimmable Flood Light Bulb (2-Pack) is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Burn out too quickly We recently put up track lighting. I purchased the lighting I did because it used 75watt bulbs. I like alot of light in the kitchen. Well when they work, they are wonderful, unfortunately 5 out 6 bulbs have burned out in 2 months. I wrote phillips and received not response. Not sure where I'm going from here, but not Phillips.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great price, terrible product. Nearly half of the light bulbs burned out during installation. Many more have burned out in the following weeks. Great price but have ended up spending a lot more on light bulbs than if I would have started with a higher quality bulb.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from When they work they are wonderful but they dont work much I love the light color that comes form these bulbs but they are not good they burn out very quick within 2 weeks on every bulb I have put in. such a bummer cause the light is so lovely. so sad

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Short life makes this a bad choice I put up new exterior lighting around my house, and bought 12 bulbs of this style. Two were dead upon installation, and two others died within a week or two. I live in Michigan where the temperatures have been well below zero, so it's possible the cold temperatures are hard on the filament. In any case, the bulb has a seriously short lifespan. Time to switch to LEDs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bright! I needed a light to place on my 20’ outside flag. I bought the light before I read the reviews, so when I seen many other state that they burned out within a few day or couple weeks I figured I bought a bad product, but that is not the case. I have had mine for almost two months and so far it lasted through heavy snow and rain. The light is very strong and focuses perfectly on what you are pointing it at. I have never seen old glory look so good at night. One thing I will say is that many of the bulbs I purchased before burned out very fast because of the elements. I learned through trial and error that if you use a flood light outside (especially with a ground stake), that you need to use electrical tape to keep the water out. If the water contacts the electrical contact of the bulb, it’s done.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great spotlight This bulb is used in a motion sensitive spotlight by our garage. These bulbs put out a lot of light for the wattage they are rated at. I'm happy with them so far but time will tell how long they last.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from outdoor light bulbs What can you say about outdoor flood lights? They're certainly bright. And they work. After a week in the cans, they're still working. What's not to like?
