Bulbs are used for outside lighting in fixtures with photosensors. Often the bulbs lasts only 3 o 4 months, This is an unacceptable for a bulb advertised to last 12 months.

Answer:
Rated average life is based on 3hrs of usage per day (in accordance with industry standards). If these are operated on photo control sensors, it is very likely they are exceeding the 3hrs per day depending on geographical location. This would give the sense that they are not lasting to their full potential as far as years, but if they are on for 9 hours per day, they would last 1/3 the years advertised Read More

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good value What can you really say about a light bulb. It work ! May 17, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Total pure junk Bought 4 bulbs. 1 lasted five weeks, 1 lasted ten weeks, and the other 2 lasted no longer than fifteen weeks. Horrible product. April 20, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Pure Junk Box says "7+ year life*" so I spent the extra money. Some of these bulbs do not last 7 days and the better ones might last 7 months. I realize there is an asterisk but they are nowhere close to what the proclaim and I bought a bunch of them. April 12, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Phillips EcoVantage I have been purchasing Phillips Flood Lights (Par30L 75W) for my home since I purchased it in 2012. Originally these were good products and they had a very good lifespan. Recently they "Re-Engineered" them to be ECO VANTAGE. The net difference is that several of the bulbs I purchased from Home Depot were DEAD on ARRIVAL. Also I found myself replacing the ones that were not DOA much more frequently. There is NOTHING ECOnomic about light bulbs that burn out in the first day or week. I need something that lasts. It is a lot of work to replace them too. I am looking for something BETTER next time. PS Who saves Receipts for Light Bulbs!!!!! Very Disappointing for Phillips and Home Depot. May 12, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great product ! Great light bulb for outdoors patio. very bright and easy to install. June 23, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not great We purchased these bulbs to replace GE Reveal 75w floods in our kitchen that are no longer available. These bulbs were not what we were expecting. Even though the package said 'PAR 30L', these bulbs were definitely not long neck floods. As such, they they sat too deep in the can, which produced a columnar beam and way too many shadows for our application. Also, these were supposed to be 3000k, but the light was very yellow-especially near the edges of the beam. We have since replaced them with LEDs. December 24, 2014
