Customer Questions & Answers

What is the beam angle of this light bulb in degrees.

Each manufacturer has his own code for designating beam angle. Phillips describes the beam angle of this bulb as 25D beam angle. You are still in the dark without a table showing what 25D means. I am guessing but I assume that 25D means 25 degrees. Other manufactures are not so easy to figure out. It would be much simpler just to say what the beam angle is. A bulb with a beam angle of 25 degrees should be designated as a NFL or narrow flood light.
Asked by: David
Its stated as a flood but its somewhere between what one would consider a spot and a flood. I don't have an actual answer but if I had to pick more spot or more flood its more of a spot to me.

Flood and Spot?

The specifications indicate "Flood and Spot". Does this mean the beam width is adjustable?
Asked by: Laker
The beam angle is 25 degrees that means that this bulb should be designated NFL for narrow floodlight.

bulb voltage

can i use these LEDs on 220 volt mains?
Asked by: dark11
mains that start as 220-240v, your typical branch circuits will be 110v-120 v split from your 220-240v main. If its a normal branch circuit 15 Amp or 20 Amp 110-125 V .This will work just find on a typical 107-128 V circuit. You shouldn't really have a 220v light fixture in a home in the United States. But to answer your question, No it wont work on a 220v supply.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product Used these to replace CFLs that were in my can lights in the ceiling. The CFLs tended to burn out every few months so oI was looking for a replacement. These LEDs rock. Their light is much brighter and the coverage is much better. They make a world of difference in my kitchen. The stainless baffles also have a modern look that matches my stainless appliances very well. I haven't determined how long they will last but am overall very pleased with this product

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent lighting - daylight bright Bulbs produce a nice bright (daylight) light. Much brighter than the old yellow incandescents of the past. No waiting like fluorescent bulbs to heat up, these LED bulbs are bright from the flick of the switch. They can produce some odd shadows depending on how deep the can is they are screwed into. If the neck was longer this would not be a problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'll be retired before I have to change this bulb. I was tired of getting out the ladder, setting it up, & then climbing up to change the bulb especially when the weather was bad. With it's long service life, I won't have to change it again, as I will be retired in five years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent light quality and low power usage The LED Daylight flood lights provide perfect light with great energy savings. A bit expensive initially but with low power usage and long life, they will make up for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This lightbulb is out of this world! Today, we went out to buy a replacement bulb for one of our kitchen can lights. We have tried different ones over the years, but we have a very high ceiling in our kitchen, and i thought that may have contributed to the poor light. Today, I found out the ceiling height has nothing to do with it! My husband put the new bulb in, and I went back out and bought these bulbs to replace the other 4 in the kitchen and all of the ones in our basement. I can't wait to replace the ones downstairs! My kitchen looks brand new and beautiful!!! My ladder is calling me...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Massive improvement over CLF and more efficient. I have 8 of these installed in my kitchen/dining room to replace the old CFL type bulb. The led at 5000 K make a great brilliant white light that is higher in lumens, color temp and more efficient than the old CFL used before. Also no warm up time . instant on full power. Only down side is cost but they are so much of an improvement and they will in time pay for themselves its worth the investment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from White, not blue light! We installed these in track light cans to light wall portraits. They really make the images pop. These are not bluish like others that we have tried.
