CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 10 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Out of many available LED bulbs, this one suited my needs best. The low wattage provided the lower use cost I seeked. The light provided was the brightness and softness I was looking for. It fit the lamp, remained hidden by the shade, as I desired. Out of the many available LED bulbs, I finally choose this style and equivalent wattage for the above reasons. March 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Very good bulb Bulb is very bright, it does get a bit hot when left on for periods of time. Turns on instantly and is bright instantly. August 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by *THE* LED Bulb To Buy For Your A19 Socket Light Fixtures I've been using Philips' LED bulbs since they first arrived on the scene in 2012. Starting with those "Star Trek"-looking A19 bulbs with the yellow-colored tops and metal heatsinks (the first generation models), moving to Par20 spotlights for my kitchen ceiling's track lighting, to a large Par38 indoor floodlight for my living room floor lamp. I've been very pleased with Philips' LED products, and, I believe the quality of their product line is readily apparent and industry-leading. I picked up a few of these 75-watt LED bulbs, along with a few of Philips' 60-watt LED bulbs. These bulbs represent the second generation of Philips LED technology, and use less energy (15 watts, down from 17) than the first generation, while producing the same amount of light (1180 lumens). The bulb has a 22.8-year claimed lifespan, and, comes with a 5-year warranty. I really love the light that this 75-watt bulb produces -- warm, with excellent diffusion in all directions. I use one bulb in a Boston Harbor desk reading lamp, and, that single bulb is sufficient for me to work at my desk and to read material, with no other room light present. I use three more of these bulbs to light my kitchen island, screwed into cylindrically-shaped hanging ceiling lamp fixtures, and, the amount of light that the three bulbs put out is astounding, and makes using the kitchen a joy. Interestingly, in my experience, I've found that the Philips 75-watt LED bulb (which features a tri-partitioned bulb head) produces much more useful and ample amounts of light, with better and more thorough multi-directional dispersion, than Philips' 60-watt LED bulb. The 60-watt bulb has interior frosting on the bottom of the bulb which reduces the amount of light being dispersed down from the bulb (in other words the 60-watt bulb diffuses more light to the sides than it does to the bottom). The 75-watt bulb, because of its tri-partitioned head (a totally different design from the 60-watt bulb), doesn't have this issue. Because the 75-watt bulb costs the same as the 60-watt bulb ($4.97), and, only uses 4 watts more electricity than the 60-watt bulb (15 watts to 11 watts), I think that you're much better off buying the Philips 75-watt bulb, unless you specifically desire the more subdued, muted light that the 60-watt bulb produces. Rated 5 out of 5 by Really bright soft white Compare to the 60W equivalent of Philips LED A19, the additional lumens really make a different in lighting up a space. If this were available in A19 size, it will be even better. For now, just make sure that the slightly longer bulbs will fit. January 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Soft and flattering I really like the soft shade of light this bulb projects. I would like to replace all my bulbs with this product. It is very flattering and not harsh like some of the others June 25, 2014
