Rated 1.0 out of 5 by 2 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not good BOTTOM LINE: DO NOT PURCHASE these unless you plan to leave the lights on all the time. I've been using 65w Sylvania R30 floodlights in my kitchen but wanted to switch to CFL floods. These are NOT the solution. Like bathroom globe CFL's, they require 2-3 minutes to reach full brightness. Light output at the flick of the switch is probably about 20-30% only. Took them out after five minutes for return to store. I'd rather pay the price of using incandescent than use these. I am going to try the Feit EcoSmart Plus bulbs as they seem to have better reviews... but I didn't see them in the store even though the site said they were in stock. Maybe I'll ask someone this time! April 21, 2011
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Takes too long to come on These bulbs emit a very pleasant light. However, they take at least 3 minutes to get to full brightness. When you walk into a room, turn the switch on, you get almost nothing. To effectively use these bulbs, plan on turning on the light switch five minutes before entering. Considering that is ridiculously impractical, I can't recommend these bulbs for any situation when you need light the minute you turn the switch on. This applies to the non-dimable Philips reflector flood, 15w, R30 bulb. Perhaps the dimable bulb works better. January 17, 2011
