we have two glass covered ceiling lights in our hall which use 2 bulbs each.. looking to go down in voltage but i'm not sure if we're allowed to use these in enclosed fixtures or not.. i figured since they put off less heat they would be better than the 60w bulbs i have in there now.. our fan kits came with CFL bulbs and they have glass enclosed bowls as well so it would be ok right?

I'm considering purchasing quite a few CFL 75W equivalent soft white bulbs but need to know if these bulbs will function in a lamp with a dimmable feature. If these won't work, does anyone have a suggestion for another bulb that will?

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by where are the incandescent bulbs when you need them already burned out a bulb in less than a month - what happened to the extended life March 29, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Replacing incandescent bulbs with CFLs... These bulbs put out decent light and come up to full brightness fairly quickly. They're a bit bigger than the incandescent bulbs they are replacing, so won't always fit into some ceiling light fixtures. January 19, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by ECO Friendly Decent ECO friendly lamp that is less expensive than LED lighting. Woks very well once it warms up but it is not the instant on that you may be used to with incandescent or LED lightning. January 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good value bulb Long lasting bulb for a good price. Well worth the money November 10, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Longevity of the bulbs I love that I don't have to change bulbs so often. They're very bright for such a low wattage. I've numerous people about the bulbs and quite often they have purchased them as well. October 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Light Bulbs Great product. Energy efficient. Long lasting. Recommend. September 15, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Gives off adequate lighting Its a light-bulb that functions as it should and I am satisfied with the purchase July 21, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good product The bulb is the perfect size (75 watts) for us. Others make a 60 & 100 watts only. Forget lasting 8 years. I have purchased it int he past and it lasts a couple of years. The price increase over the old incandescent bulbs does not justify the cost but in terms of environmental inpact, it is worth buying it. June 17, 2015
