This might be a little more then what you need to know about a light bulb. PAR refers to the parabola size. PAR38 is actually 4 3/4 inche size. 1151 usually refers to a bulb that has a two prong socket (like in a car). Since this is in your Kitchen we can assume that it refers to the trim number that is usable in the housing. So yes this will work! Be warned that is a lot of light for indoor use and you Read More

Never tried that application. I would venture a guess that these are not the ones you want, but in the final analysis the only thing to do is to try. If you don't like the dispersion of light that they give, you can always use them outside. SHALOM

Answer:
These are very large and I personally would only use them outside in a large flood light. I'm not an expert on lighting, but personnally, I would use Ecosmart 75 W Replacement Daylight lights in the kitchen. That is what I use. 985 lumens and they are great. These are fantastic outdoor lights though. I do use them outdoors.

Answer:
That depends on the type of motion sensor light you have. Most have a switch and a dial on the back or bottom of the sensor. The switch is for test mode (you need to make sure the light works when you install it during day light) and for the length of time (usually increments of 1, 5, 15 minutes). The dial is for range or sensitivity of the sensor. Others have a third dial for brightness.

I do not have the answer for this one. I don't understand the question. Is this some type of built in timing device on the bulb, such as a photoelectric cell??? You must be speaking of some other device that has a timer, which would be separate from the service the light bulb gives. I suggest that you call Home Depot. SHALOM

Sounds like you have a switch issue or if your outside bulb is on the outside with a motion detector something is activating the detector i.e. birds, outside animals etc. Check the switch first !

Answer:
I have my bulbs installed in a light fixture with a "motion detector". This detector has a "test" setting and a normal setting with a 1-5-10 minute(light on) setting. They work fine here. You could possibly have a defective light fixture.

It sounds like you have a problem with the sensor on your lights. Sometimes it is the number of times you turn the switch on.
