Are these bulbs 130 volt? We have had problems with Sylvania bulbs with 65 watt-120 volts burning out instantly when replacing old Phillips bulbs.

Reading my own answer...I came up with the idea:
You probably have the ltg fixture wired at 240 volts (two hots and NO neutral, instead of a hot and a neutral = 120 volts).
So my previous suggestion holds: Check the voltage at the light bulb socket!
If you measure 120 volt, then you stumped me!
If you measure 240 volt, hire a good electrician to solve your problem, by rewiring the fixture :-)

If a bulb is marked "130 volt" it means it can take up to 130 volts...fortunately our utility gives us ONLY 120 volts! Therefore your question becomes mute...
I think you are having a socket problem...and I cannot think of any that will burn the light bulb instantly!
If this was a European socket, your new light bulb will not fit in there.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by lightbulbs We needed to replace 2 lights in our track lighting. The lighting is up on a high ceiling and we decided to replace all the lights. It is an older product and we were happy to find the light bulbs at Home Depot Wanted to say thank you! Pictures relate to prior purchase. Associates helped me find items to turn a wagon into a pirate ship for the 2015 Rehoboth Beach Sea Witch Festival. We were winners last year (Elsa and the Pugcicles) and this year as Pirates and Puganeers. Cardboard boxes, duck tape, fasteners, dowels, and pipe insulation helped make the transition. We will need your help next year to turn the wagon into Cinderella's Castle...Pugerellas and Prince Charming. November 10, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by It's a Light Bulb! We bought this light bulb to replace a bulb that went out. It's a light bulb. We installed it and when you flip the light switch, it lights up! It doesn't take any time to do so :). July 12, 2016

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by A sorry story! Just realized that the box I bought on 01/20/16 (still have the receipt) only had TWO lamps in there! I replaced the bad one (after 13 mos) with this Duramax (Made in China). Today or 2 mos later the bulb is dead. Went to get the second one from the original box...and there was only one left...something tells me that I got the box with ONLY two bulbs in it! I put it up again, after I marked the date (3/27/16) on it...let's see how this one will do. I've been a lighting engineer for the past 40 yrs and I know that the listed 2,500 hrs is based on statistics...but here I had two bad things: A bad light bulb and a pilfered box of three! DO NOT BUY IT, WITHOUT OPENING THE BOX and counting the light bulbs in it! March 27, 2016
