Customer Questions & Answers

Does this bulbs work without a ballast?

Asked by: Capalasker
yes, just installed in can lighting in kitchen, working fine

Are these bulbs 130 volt? We have had problems with Sylvania bulbs with 65 watt-120 volts burning out instantly when replacing old Phillips bulbs.

Asked by: Arky
Reading my own answer...I came up with the idea: You probably have the ltg fixture wired at 240 volts (two hots and NO neutral, instead of a hot and a neutral = 120 volts). So my previous suggestion holds: Check the voltage at the light bulb socket! If you measure 120 volt, then you stumped me! If you measure 240 volt, hire a good electrician to solve your problem, by rewiring the fixture :-)

The box in which the lights came stated that they would last 2.3 yrs. I am constantly replacing them in my ceiling fixtures......in one case less than 2 mos. And this has happened over a course of 4 yrs. (same light). Have had an electrician come out to check the fixtures, and he says that there is nothing wrong with them. He has recommended the compacet flourescent light in its place. I have tried that, and so far, so good.

A second bulb replacing the first bulb continues to work, but have only used for 90 minutes so far. The third bulb has been installed in a different application and continues to work well, used 2 hours per day.

All the so-called dimmable LED and fluorescent bulbs did not dim. If you are having trouble with your dimable floods not dimming then use this incandescent alternative.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A little bigger than "normal" bulbs We purchased these for bathroom vanity lights and since there are little large than normal, they visibly stuck out of the bottom of the frame so we did return them. Great light though!
