Are these bulbs 130 volt? We have had problems with Sylvania bulbs with 65 watt-120 volts burning out instantly when replacing old Phillips bulbs.

Reading my own answer...I came up with the idea:
You probably have the ltg fixture wired at 240 volts (two hots and NO neutral, instead of a hot and a neutral = 120 volts).
So my previous suggestion holds: Check the voltage at the light bulb socket!
If you measure 120 volt, then you stumped me!
If you measure 240 volt, hire a good electrician to solve your problem, by rewiring the fixture :-)

If a bulb is marked "130 volt" it means it can take up to 130 volts...fortunately our utility gives us ONLY 120 volts! Therefore your question becomes mute...
I think you are having a socket problem...and I cannot think of any that will burn the light bulb instantly!
If this was a European socket, your new light bulb will not fit in there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a Light Bulb! We bought this light bulb to replace a bulb that went out. It's a light bulb. We installed it and when you flip the light switch, it lights up! It doesn't take any time to do so :).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light bulb The headlights on my jeep are a little less bright than the factory originals after installing these. Would have been nice if they sold these in a four pack as it looks a little odd with two bulbs on the right and one on the left. The modification to get these to fit was a little difficult but I've been watching YouTube DIY videos for years now and finally had the courage do do my own project. Overall the project was a success and I'm thinking about starting my own Hacker channel to share my project as my mom said she always thought I had really good ideas. I think i will get another pack of bulbs and surprise her by modifying her car.

A second bulb replacing the first bulb continues to work, but have only used for 90 minutes so far. The third bulb has been installed in a different application and continues to work well, used 2 hours per day.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A little bigger than "normal" bulbs We purchased these for bathroom vanity lights and since there are little large than normal, they visibly stuck out of the bottom of the frame so we did return them. Great light though!
