Yes. As of Jan 2015, you get FOUR hue bulbs. It is the best hue deal on the Internet, even better than used ones on eBay..

Answer:
Yes --well three bulbs came in the box and an extra Hue bulb came (at the same time) in a separate box. Since the extra bulb is not part of the original group you will need to tell the hub to find/add the extra bulb. This is easily done through the app. If you skip this step the bulb will only work as a regular flood light!

Answer:
No. The starter kit contains three bulbs. The extra bulb comes in a separate box and is a Philips LED Flood Light and not a HUE bulb. It will not connect to the bridge that comes with the starter kit.

Answer:
See the reviews - apparently the extra bulb is not a Hue bulb, but instead some sort of cheaper bulb that is not a Hue bulb - and I would assume not system-compatible? Maybe the Home Depot lighting team will clarify what we are actually getting? I was about to order myself until I read that review.

Answer:
Yes. Some online reviewers have said their extra bulb was not a Hue bulb but mine absolutely is a Hue bulb. You have to tell the hub to find/add the bulb. If I had skipped this step then the extra bulb would have behaved like a plain flood light instead of a Hue bulb.

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 16 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Better than I expected Everything was very easy to set up. Usually you always have a glitch, but not here. The extra light was the same light in the starter kit. Amazing colors and what a great control on your iphone. This is expensive, not for everyone. But for those that do indulge, you will be well rewarded with this product. You have so many apps for HUE it is amazing. You can have the lights dance to the beat of the music. Automatically change the colors. You have full control. I turn my lights on in my office and when I get home, they are on in full living color. I am going to replace all my lights with HUE lighting. February 2, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exceptional First of all, before purchasing this product I was I have a reluctant and spending my hard-earned money and justify the cost. Therefore I used some of my Christmas money. No regrets. After owning the product and getting to know how to use it to its full potential I certainly would've spent my hard-earned money. It's a lot of fun. Recommend applications in order to bring the bulbs to life. Be patient and in time they will be absolutely beautiful. The pros outweigh the cons. Frankly there is no cons. I own four bulbs and will be buying a fifth. Five is a perfect amount for what I want to achieve in my living room. Some people need more others need less. Recommend the hue app, on switch and Hue disco. They get used on a daily basis. No buyer remorse! January 24, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by nice but not for everyone I installed these in my basement to help create a theater room. They work well and are fun to play with but are not really practical. They are controlled by an app you down load and requires a direct connection to your wireless router. To really utilize the automation of these lights you have to keep your lite switch "on" all the time. They are easy to install but the app is a little clunky. They work well and have impressive but you are definitely paying for the ability to change the colors. January 27, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by lights can do more then light up It's more then a light, it can change the mood of any room with easy fast setup. Not only are the lights fun, being a led they will say you money and last longer then old bulbs. Choosing colors and turning them on is the most basic feature! If you don't know what ifttt can do and all the endless possibilities, then let the hue light bulb click on and show you a whole new world! I have the lights in my living room and bar area and never gets old being able to show off for friends or even kids! Plenty bright enough for my large living room, they can paint the walls with light. With ifttt and hue bulbs I can set up weather alerts, social notifications, location based features, sports alerts, and many other types of alerts which can change the color for all type of alerts or just as simple as turning on and off. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Starter Kit is Great - Extra Bulb is Not Starter Kit: The Starter Kit was easy to install and works pretty good overall. The lights themselves work as advertised. Its a little cumbersome to turn them on and off with the apps and the bridge has to be wired into your network. But if you want color changing light bulbs then this product delivers on that. Extra Bulb: The extra bulb is not a HUE bulb. It looks like one and even had the HUE paperwork in the box, but I spent days trying get it to connect to the bridge. Eventually I was able to track down the model number and found out it was a simple Philip's LED Flood light. Buyer Be Ware: I thought this was a great deal, but was very disappointed. There is a significant difference in value and usefulness between the bulbs that come with the starter kit and the so called extra one. December 26, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Purchase! My extra bulb is absolutely a Hue bulb! Once I put it in the light socket I did have to go online to figure out how to get the hub to recognize it but that took me about two minutes. If you don't tell the hub to find/add the bulb, then the bulb will only work like a regular flood light. Now I'm having fun experimenting with different apps and scenes. Love it! January 19, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fun lights for basement. Installed 8 lights in basement, had to manually add the lights by serial number but they work great. February 25, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Exactly what I expected. The packaging was great and the product is even better. Download some great third party apps and enjoy. I will be investing in the light strips and bloom next. BTW I have a bulb in the bathroom of our apt and it looks great in there February 3, 2015
