It shaves great and is easy to use BUT the on/off switch is junk. I have had 2 of them and both of the on/off switches broke after 12 - 14 months of only using it 4 days a week.

This is an ok razor. However, even though it is advertised for traveling there is no case or pouch included. It is a bit longer than my old razor so I can't use my old pouch. It appears from some advertisements that previous versions did include a pouch. In addition there is no pouch option to buy. I am returning the unit due to the cheapening of the offering.

the plastic cover (coating) at the on/off switch developed a crack after about a year. It was still within warranty so I was able to return it. They sent me a brand new handle. Within a year that one had cracked in exactly the same place. I shave on average every other day. I don't use it wet. It is a design flaw. Other than that, it provides an adequate shave. I have been using Norelco rotary shavers for 40 years and they have always been extremely reliable and long-lasting. I have only owned 4 including the 1150X during that time. With the older models eventually the batteries needed replacement and when I dropped them and the plastic case broke, I just sent them in to an authorized dealer for repair. Easy. Even before the internet. I fully recommend Norelco shavers in general, just not this model due to the cracking of the case because it defeats the "wet shave" features. Rotary shavers in general are much easier on the skin and the heads are more durable. The screens on screen shavers (side-to-side motion of the cutters) are very prone to being dented and ruined (because they are necessarily so thin and thus delicate) and are expensive to replace.

I do not got a close shave and have difficulty getting clean under my nose. The protective cap for the shaver heads has broke for the second time. I used great care after the first cap broke. Suggest a different material be used. The 30 day return guanatee should be longer. I received as a christmas gift which is beyond the time to return.

I am not rich and so I cant afford the 9000 series but this razor is affordable and works great. It shaves my face nice and close and the handle is not bulky so its easy to hold. Some people say the protectiver cover breaks and mine is very durable. It should effortlessly slide on to to razor from the front sliding to to the back easy.

No close shave. Does not cut all hairs. Clumsy hard to hold. Pinches and scrapes. Wet or dry No difference. I have used cheaper models of this vendors products for 3o+yaears, no comparison.
You people dropped the ball this time.
I plan to donate this junk to Goodwill.
I have used it for 4 days, therefore I can't return it. UGH

I've used nothing but Norelco for many, many years (Probably 30 or so). I can say this is the worst Norelco I've ever owned. My old R4150 was starting to pull wiskers, so I decided to get a "new and improved" model. After a month of trying to get a close shave with this trying wet, trying dry, trying shaving gel etc. I finally gave up and went back to my old razor. Guess I'll just get a replacement head for it.

I have used Norelco shavers in the past and have been satisfied. I have been using a competitor's wet/dry for the past six years or so. That unit finally gave out and I ordered a replacement of the competitor's brand. I still had my old Norelco and had to use it while waiting for the replacement to come. I was really, really happy with the shave I was getting from the old Norelco so I ordered the 6100 in hopes I would be equally happy. Well, I have tried every technique, pre-shave, wet and dry. You name it and I have tried it. The razor just does not glide over my face - I have to force the shaver to move over my face. Don't know what the problem is - the old Norelco glides easily - wet and dry. So, this Norelco is going to be returned. I can't recommend this model. Maybe you will have better luck.
