I purchased these as an introductory special. I needed them in my desk lamps that clamp because they don't have a "heat sink" base. Heat sink bases makes them a heavier bulbs. The heavier the bulb, the more the desk lamp would "droop" down a bit. These bulbs are super light in weight and prevented the droop in the lamps. They are wonderfully bright but here is the best reason to buy these. I have them in two different lamps. I never turn those lamps off.....never.....and this fall, they will be on straight for 3 years. We have replaced every bulb in our home with LEDs including the bathroom fixtures and we're saving about $25-$28 per month. Even our nightlights are tiny LEDs. They are worth every dime.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mom5Grandma5 Nice bright light that fit in the fixture
The light is much brighter than the prior bulbs. They do have a strange shape, but the shape that I liked wouldn't fit into the track lighting cans. Also I'd struggled to keep the other expensive bulbs from blowing out after a few weeks. None lasted the long life their package promised. Because these bulbs are dimmable they may be better able to tolerate the fluctuation in the power we experience in our rural home. So far, so good. It has been several months.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by modelapic Daylight spectrum
These lights put out out a white light spectrum close to natural sunlight, not the yellow of typical incandescent bulbs. Plus, these only use 10.5 watts each, instead of 60 watts for a bulb putting out less light. No heat out of these, so they are not suitable for heating a pump house, or use in a food dryer.
I am converting all my incandescent house bulbs to these, to save on electricity, and enjoy the better lighting. These are a whiter light than compact fluorescent bulbs too.
Notice the light on the ceiling above the Phillips LED on the left, and that of the standard 60 watt on right.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by austin78726 Only partial dimmable
These light bulbs are fine, except for one problem. The dimmable feature only partially works. Replaced standard incandescent lights in a dimmable AC light fixture. These LED bulbs will only dim to about 50%. They will NOT dim all the way from 0% to 100% the same as normal incandescent bulbs. LED dimmable bulbs cost twice what non-dimmable LED bulbs cost. Yet these don't perform the function I paid that premium for. I recommend you skip these.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by FEN Dimmable? Not really. Very poor range (High, almost high, flicker, off)
I am unhappy with the dimming range of these bulbs; they range for High, to just below high, to flicker, to off. They also emit a harsh bluish-white light that is more suited for an office as opposed to a home. We have some dimmable LED bulbs by GE that we are much happier with.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by ALBERT A VERY USABLE LIGHT
I PURCHASED THESE LED BULBS TO USE IN MY TRACK LIGHT HEADS. I AM DISABLED AND CANNOT CLIMB A LADDER TO REPLACE BULBS. UNLIKE OTHER BULBS THAT TEND TO FAIL THESE BULBS LAST FOR A VERY LONG TIME. I CHOSE THE DAYLIGHT STYLE THAT HAVE A BRIGHTER SOURCE AND ARE DIMMABLE.
