Title says it all. I replaced six CFL bulbs in my ensuite bathroom with these LEDs. On a regular switch, they looked great. The second I installed an LED compatible dimmer, buzzing throughout the range of the dimmer (even full bright) and flicker as the lights were dimmed.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Mango45 Best alternative to incandescent lighting
In spite of its CRI of 80, this bulb is the finest efficient light bulb I've seen. The quality of the light it produces is so good (even better than a competing brand's 93 CRI bulb) that no one I've shown it to has been able to tell the difference between this and incandescent light.
Not only that, but this bulb's unique design eliminates the need for a metal heatsink, making it lighter and cheaper. It's also made of plastic, not glass, so should be harder to break. There's no discernible flicker, and it is completely silent (I don't have a dimmer so haven't tried that).
If you don't care for fluorescent lights or haven't been happy with the performance of other LED bulbs, I urge you to try this new one.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Burnabee Dimmable yes, but doesn't turn off completely
Bought 6 LED 10.5W Slimline for various ceiling fixtures that have 3 bulbs, all have switches have modern dimmers [less than 2 years old]. LED's do have nice colour and brightness, but when dimmer is turned off the LED's remain just barely on, they would be no good in a bedroom at night. The solution was just put in 2 LED's and one of the older bulbs I was using before, so now the dimming function completely works. The dimmers cost $57 when new, but I won't be replacing them as any cost savings from the LED's is not a good return on investment in the LED's, still I'll save on the 2 LED's in the fixture in the long term.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Fisher The best bang for the buck.
After using (& correctly disposing of) too many cheap cfls I finally came across these. At $12 each I bought 4 to check them out. They are as bright as the 60 watt Incandescent bulbs that they replace (in my dimmable fixtures) and light instantly with no cfl lag/warmup.
The best thing about these is that they don't have a glass bulb like the cfls and won't shatter if dropped!
Looks promising.....I will test these for a few months & if they are durable will outfit the rest of the house with them.

Had to write a review on the Phillips Slimstyle LED offering since i was quite excited to try them out with the expectation to retrofit every light in the household.
I will start with the positives both the soft white and daylight bulbs have remarkable colour properties, i placed each (soft white, daylight & regular) including a incandesant bulb in a lighting fixture side by side and was quite impressed. The soft white is very close in colour, you will not notice the difference in colour if not placed side by side in the same fixture. The daylight was also very good in the quality of light given off, both options are a five out of five for this aspect.
Life expectancy is said to be 22.8 years, even if they last half that time the overall savings will more than payoff.
Now for the negative....as reported in many reviews on the sites in the US, and likely moving forward in Canada the humming these bulbs produce with a dimmer is used outright annoying. With the light dimmed in the dining room, the noise is clearly heard in the living room to the point that the dimmer is unuseable.
So there you have it, a great product which i would highly recommend for fixed lighting (no dimmer switch), and a terrible option for lighting to be used with a dimmer.
I hear Phillips may have had some production issues with manufacturing which may be solved now, however nothing official from the company in regards to the humming issue and potential manufacturing fix. So until something concrete comes out, this product is recommended for non dimmer locations and not recommended if you utilize a dimmer.
P.S...Packaging states the bulbs are dimmer compatible, not the case until they get the manufacturing bugs worked out.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by TheSlash Great Value and excellent color
2700k color temperature and excellent price. It's good replacement for standard 60w bulb. It's bright, but not as much as some other Phillips bulbs that are also rated 800 lumen because it's 360 degree light. Color is much better than 3000k if you prefer normal color versus neon white type. Great bulb and excellent value.

Draws 9 watts as measured by my power angel. Nice, incandescent style color temperature. A wonderful replacement.

Have not used this type of bulb before now. It is bright and, thank heaven, it does not look like a coil. One problem is, they cannot be used in an enclosed fixture such as a ceiling fixture with a tight fitting globe. More is the pity.
