CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 281 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by great value excellent light output. I bought 2 and found how well they performed and that the slim style was not a distraction so I have bought many more. The best value i have found in led light bulbs so far! November 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Efficient, simple design Draws 9 watts as measured by my power angel. Nice, incandescent style color temperature. A wonderful replacement. August 12, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Bright light Have not used this type of bulb before now. It is bright and, thank heaven, it does not look like a coil. One problem is, they cannot be used in an enclosed fixture such as a ceiling fixture with a tight fitting globe. More is the pity. July 22, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Not a Good Fit This new LED bulb produces warm, bright light. However, this product is described as being A19 size by both Philips and Home Depot. It is actually more like an A22, which means it will not fit in all fixtures. A19 is 2-3/8" but this bulb is closer to 2-3/4" at its widest point. Also, read the fine print: The manufacturer says that these must not be used in any completely enclosed fixture. All our ceiling fixtures are enclosed glass globes. These bulbs cannot safely be used in those locations. Disappointing. January 19, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Bulb! I've been using LEDs for a couple of years and appreciate when a bulb comes onto the market that is lower in price and performs as well as the CREE bulbs I've been using. (FYI-CREE is a leading manufacturer of LED bulbs.) When I compare this bulb to the CREE there are only three advantages but, enough to cause me to switch. 1) The flat design makes it easy to store and transport. (I perform facility maintenance and I USED TO change a lot of bulbs :) ). 2) The bulb is light. 3) As of this review, It costs 10% less then the CREE. At 800 lumens it emits as much light as the typical incandescent bulb. As with most LED bulbs it generates about 50% of the heat of an incandescent bulb. I measured the heat at 108 degrees vs. 206 degrees of an 60w incandescent bulb I used to compare. In response to several other reviews I wish to offer some rebuttal: I've never heard the "buzzing". While I agree that the manufacturer states the bulb is not suitable for entirely enclosed fixtures; please note that I measured the operating temperature of this bulb at 108F, the CREE bulb at 109F and an incandescent at 206F. Having said that, further note that heat is very harmful to electronics. Therefore, being place inside of a globe may reduce the life of the bulb. My opinion: I would replace any 60W incandescent bulb with this bulb. I've used some of these bulbs with a "dual-bright" motion sensor. Even though the illumination is reduced on the "dim" setting, the change is insignificant. Another benefit of LED bulbs: LEDs are not as susceptible to the temperature swings like incandescent. Think about how often you change your incandescent outdoor lights.... May 8, 2014
