I first encountered this product several years ago as a plant engineer for a plastic injection molding firm. We had to build many new custom racking pallets to hold 1000 pound to 5000 pound molds. They performed very well both during installation and performance of keeping the pallets intact.
The combination Phillips-Square bit/socket performed very well... pump them in and done. (Actually, if I am not mistaken, it is a #3 Phillips... if you try to use the much more common #2 Phillips bit you will be very frustrated... stripped bits etc.) Since then, this is my bit/socket of choice... much less frustrating than star bits or #2 Phillips heads. This bit/socket does so well, I pay another $1,50ish per pound an go through the hassle of getting them on the HD site rather than deal with the hassle of other deck screws. Nicely done.

Do not use this Phillips head screw. I stripped every screw head and cannot even drill it down to the wood. To use it, you need to pre-drill pilot hole for every screw. That is crazy. I throw away all 5lbs that I bought. Very low quality. Use the start head version that works every time. You have been warned.
