I have an old house and there used to be French doors in a 36 x 80 opening that opened in the middle going into a sunroom. I am looking to replace them as they were missing when I bought the house.

My project is enclosing a patio space. I have three openings to cover; one of which is exactly 10" wide. Three 36" doors would cover the width; but that would leave no room for a lateral frame. The height is no problem, as I can frame that gap using a nice header.
The other two openings are 146" wide; and using four 36" doors for each would leave about 2" spare room to make a side frame..

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful Door High quality doors. Easy installation. Product came well packed. October 27, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by NICEST BIFOLD DOOR EVER PRODUCT WAS OF GREAT QUALITY. INSTALLATION WAS FAIRLY EASY (IT WAS INSTALLED IN AN OLD HOME AND DOORWAYS AREN'T ALWAYS SQUARE). PLASTIC ON GLASS ALLOWED STAINING WITH EASY. (HINT REGARDING REMOVAL OF THE PLASTIC AFTER STAINING - LIGHTLY SCORE THE PLASTIC AROUND THE WINDOW FRAME WITH A SHARP UTILITY KNIFE BEFORE REMOVING ALLOWS EASY REMOVAL). PERFECT REPLACEMENT DOOR FOR THIS APPLICATION June 17, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful door I'm a woman in my late 50's and I installed this myself. Took me nearly 2 hours because I didn't quite know what I was doing and I wanted it perfect, and the door is well-built and heavy, but my point is it can be done. I love the quality of the door, the protective plastic over the glass panels to make painting easier, and the light that now comes thru from my laundry room. I'm super happy with this purchase. It replaced a cheap solid bifold door, so now this area looks so much more dramatic. Love it! June 21, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by good quality, nice grain Door moves easily, nice glass, feels sturdy (many of these bifold doors feel too flimsy; this one doesn't). Only downside -- tacky doorknob. Will likely replace it. March 13, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Sturdy, Well Made, Securely Packaged We have already purchased three of the unfinished pine bifold doors with the real glass individual panes, and they arrived safely with nothing damaged. We did a little sanding, primed, and painted them and they look great. Having that peel-off paper on the glass makes it easy to get a professional straight edge with no taping all those windows! Now we are ordering 3 MORE bifold doors of this size, and one more a little less wide. The bifolds help with furniture arrangements in a room, and really save wall space. I'm really sold on using them. Our previous order arrived quickly and were placed in the garage by the carrier. Since each box weighs over 80 pounds, it is a good idea to have a spot ready for their arrival. December 8, 2010
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great purchase We bought these doors for the sunporch. The wood is solid and can be stained or painted. We painted. I am very happy with this purchase. This is a two person installation. March 3, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by bad product support - don't break a window The product was delivered in great shape but when I went to tap in the floor swivel pin the window just above it shattered. No way this should happen unless there was a structural problem with the frame. When I contacted the manufacturer they would not stand behind the product but would sell me a new panel. I asked if they hand any directions for changing and replacing the window they could email me. Their response was "the windows in these doors can not be replaced". With a little ingenuity I managed to get the window replaced. The little bit of damage that occurred was repairable. December 9, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Just ok Bought 2 sets of these doors and 2 sets of narrower doors to make 8 total panels. Unhinged them and re-paired them together to make 2 sets of 4 double folding doors for 2 doorways. 3 panels were warped (not flat when laid down on the floor) so we had to work to fix. Even within 1 panel, it seems different types of pine were used for the door (sides are separate pieces from the tops, bottom panels and the pane dividers), so when finishing/staining them, they absorbed the stain differently. Took a lot of work to "even" them out by varying amounts of stain used. It was a TON of work. Been working on them a month and still not done. If you were painting them it would be much easier. Would not buy again due to amount of work, even though the price was good. October 14, 2014
