Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by What I was looking for I searched the net for what I found out to be cafe doors, including ebay, and at long last found them at These were just fine for the space and if you're willing to take the time to buy unfinished and prime, paint and hang its worth it. I recommend spraying...I brushed and it was more time consuming than first imagined. Good luck! May 29, 2006
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great Budget Saloon Style Doors Not too light, not too heavy, these doors are perfect for a conversion of one of our bedrooms to a "bar room". We brush painted 1 coat of flat white paint on the doors, and we're getting ready to finish them off with a sprayed coat of semi gloss white. They will look great. Just what we needed, and at the price range we wanted. January 31, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Really Pleased I used these to add color and texture to my dining room - they are on either side of my china cabinet. I painted with acrylic paint then crackled then put a metallic paint over them. It was the perfect touch of color I was looking for! May 1, 2010
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by cafe door I was looking for a short door for under the stairs. I could not find any unless I make costomly. I ordered this one When I saw on the web site. It was delivered so quickly and it looked just like I expected. July 23, 2009
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good product for the price Good product for the price. They were what we looking for and filled the need we had. March 6, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good purchase We needed to close of a hallway leading from our guest room to the bathroom but did not want to install a full door with casement as it would have cut the room off. So we decided to use louvered doors instead. Great idea. They look great and took the white paint well. Prced right too. July 31, 2012
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by This is ok. The doors are awesome, but the hinges are not up to par. I installed the doors and they didn't last a week. The hinges bent and were mostly made of plastic. Not very durable, if you ask me. August 22, 2012
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by A great bargain but don't forget to sand. For the price this is a bargain. The quality of construction and the grade of wood was very good. The instructions are minimal but not difficult at all if you know your way around a drill and a screw driver. I'm a perfectionist so here are a few caveats: 1. Before painting, sand the louvers, they're not as 'finished' as the border trim. I learned the hard way. Did a quick sanding before, but after spraying two coats i grimaced and went in and sanded down the grain burrs until they were smooth. This may not be a problem with the painted white louvers but it is with the unfinished. You'll know which slats need the most work. 2. It will take a bit of finagling to have the doors line up so they'll close together after swinging. You can do this by adjusting the screws on the door side bottom hinges. You'll see a curved slot for adjusting. 3. I've read a few comments about the 'cheap plastic' on the door hinges. The plastic is actually nylon and used as a 'bearing' surface. Without it the doors would squeak and jam. October 23, 2013
