I want to replace a door with door panels measuring 35x79 inches in a roughed in openning of 35 9/16 x 80 3/16 inches. Would the 36 x 80 door fit? If not, could you produce a custom built door for this openning?

I have a similar issue. Nothing is impossible if you're capable of doing some handywork. What I plan to do is take my power planer and shave off the edges of both doors to get to the dimensions I need to close it completely. I may remove the hinges and make the adjustments on the interior edges versus outer -- not sure. And if any other hardware needs moving or replacement, that can be done, too.

I have an old house and there used to be French doors in a 36 x 80 opening that opened in the middle going into a sunroom. I am looking to replace them as they were missing when I bought the house.

Can you get tinted glass? Also, are the doors separate so that they can be installed as individual pocket doors instead?

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 17 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Beautiful door I'm a woman in my late 50's and I installed this myself. Took me nearly 2 hours because I didn't quite know what I was doing and I wanted it perfect, and the door is well-built and heavy, but my point is it can be done. I love the quality of the door, the protective plastic over the glass panels to make painting easier, and the light that now comes thru from my laundry room. I'm super happy with this purchase. It replaced a cheap solid bifold door, so now this area looks so much more dramatic. Love it! June 21, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great purchase We bought these doors for the sunporch. The wood is solid and can be stained or painted. We painted. I am very happy with this purchase. This is a two person installation. March 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by door was as expected Needed a "french door" (minimize size of door extending in open position) to close off a "sun room" from kitchen, size of opening is ~37x81; this door was best option for the price. Actual door of this product is just less than the 36x80.5 advertized at ~35.5x78.5. With 3/8" x 1/2" foam seal, this adequately provides a good seal door to let in light but keep out the cold/heat (sun room is not centrally conditioned). Would recommend it if you have similar need, just be aware of the little "extra" needed to enclose an opening that measures 36x80. March 30, 2013
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Cheap.. The guide track is cheap stamped sheetmetal junk. The doors are rough and will require sanding. The doors have no over-center mechanism.. Overpriced..The new Home Depot way.. A piece of 3/4" quarter round,,,,almost 5 bucks.. A 98 cent piece for 5 backs. February 11, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great doors! Great doors. They look beautiful and they are keeping the heat where I want it. Would order again and would recommend. February 10, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by These Doors are Great !!!! I bought these doors for my kitchen. I used these bi-fold doors as the french doors. They are great and solid. May 28, 2013
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent 36 inch folding door but pathetic, cheap hardware The $299 double folding door was excellent, very good value, but the cheap inartfully designed hardware was shameful. It is the very same cheap hardware that is attached to lighter folding doors I installed several years ago in the laundry area. Specifically, the hardware is poorly designed for this heavier and well constructed folding door in the following ways: (1) the adjustable upper pivot bracket should be at least one inch longer because in the present short profile the tightening screw is difficult to turn with a hand screw driver or an battery driver. The tightening screw is too close to the edge of the door. Also, the single tightening screw should be more substantial and better designed. Discard this hardware unit. (2) The top guide rail is a flimsy unit similar to some kind of heavier cardboard. Not suitable for this heavy door. The edges that prevent the roller guide from being disrailed is not sufficiently pronounced. Make the curled portion really enclose the roller guide. (3) The lower pivot bracket is too horizonally short. This is not a glaring insufficiency but it should be longer and perhaps be attached to the floor with two not just one screw. (4) The plastic portion of the roller guide broke off in the bored hole at the top of the door and I had to make a substitute, Thus, this sorry grouping of hardware is ill fashioned for this heavy door. Use it on a lighter one but it should not be part of the purchase price of this $ 299 door. April 21, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Good Product as expected Door was packaged and protected well. Comes with paint protection plastic on the lites that are difficult to remove after painting. June 18, 2014
