I want to put up two mirror bifold doors in that space. Is it possible to take apart between the bifold door hinges and use a 36 in. bifold door and separate at hinge and use a 32 bifold door on one side. This way I could get 68 inches. My plan would be to rehinge 18 in panel and 16 in panel together reusing hinges between existing doors. The 18 in. panels would fit on the outside near door jam and the 16 in panel would be center. I would build out on each side an inch. My concern is not only the hinges but the opening of each side. Is this possible to do?

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 17 reviewers.
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Quick delivery and easy to install It was delivered to store after just a couple of days. As it is made of wood, the installation by my contractor was pretty easy. However the total size of both doors is less than 36" - actually it is about half inch short. Since I divided into two doors to fit into exact 36" frame, there is a half inch gap in the middle. which makes me very uncomfortable. Otherwise, it is a very good mirror door. June 30, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by NOT THE IMAGE Mirror was not same mirror as image. There's an arch at the top of it. Disappointed! Not an easy thing to lug around back and forth to store for return. Don't waste your time buying. September 8, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by 1 out of 3 Ordered three 32" wide bifolds - one was hopelessly warped and had to be returned holding up installation. It was not a shipping/packing defect but a fault in assembling. Problem was a warped stile (side frame) - it could be seen where the assembler tried to make the piece fit. Other two and replacement were satisfactory. September 7, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Looks good but you will need to finish edges yourself. Inside edges of the frame had to be calked with a solid color because the wood edge by the mirrored glass is not finished very well. I also completely calked the backside to make the mirror sturdier. The doors don't line up perfectly, maybe an eighth to three sixteenth off, but not that noticeable when put up. All in all a decent buy. July 30, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 2 sets of doors purchased two sets of the mirror doors, we have small bedrooms and using the mirror doors for the closets gave the rooms depth. They were easy to install (contractor had no problem) . I loved the wood so much that I used a clear finish on it as to preserve it. Cosmetically they beat any mirror door with a metal frame hands down. Several friends have seen the doors since the rooms have been remodeled and inquired as to where I purchased the doors. They may have been a few dollars more then the metal ones, but were so worth the money. July 25, 2010
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Doors are not square I purchased these online twice. Both pair of doors were not square. Both sets of doors were bowed creating an awkward gap in the center of the doors. I would not purchase the type with mirrors. The set I eventually went with didn't have the mirror and aligned correctly! August 26, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Looks Great, Easy to Install I used this for a walk-in closet door and it looks great. I stained mine and it took all weekend, since I went with two coats of stain and three coats of polyurethane, and could only do one side at a time. Installation was simple and took less than an hour with wife's help. I did not use the included door knob and bought another one that matches the bedroom door handle. I also bought a quarter-round to trim the top to hide the rail. It's a lot more effort compared to just painting it but the result is wroth it. July 12, 2009
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by rather sturdy-good appearance-priced ok overall product is as advertised-easy to install-fairly good construction-if you are going to paint these I don't think you can go wrong-on the other hand, they do not stain well-even applying pre stain sealer to prevent unevenness in appearance did not work-they are made with a #2 0r #3 pine fir which does not stain uniform-after two or three attempts of staining I finally got it to look better but not to my satisfaction February 11, 2014
