Product Overview

Place N Go flooring combines the rich colors and textures of luxury vinyl with a built-in interlocking underlayment for super-easy and reliable installation. Place N Go's patented "zipper" interlock ensures that tiles come together easily for a durable and glue-less installation. The 5/16 in. thick body of Place N Go tiles includes a built-in, flexible underlayment structure that allows tiles to be laid directly over uneven and rough subfloors as well as over old-flooring, including grouted ceramic tiles. This eliminates the added expense, time and hassle required to remove old flooring, install a separate underlayment or prep the existing floor. The built-in underlayment also provides superior comfort-under-foot and warmth. Place N Go's interlocking system allows tiles to be easily picked up and reinstalled. Perfect for basement flooring, if you ever get water, simply pick up the tiles, dry the area out and reinstall. You can also take them with you if you move! Place N Go flooring is commonly used in finished basements, laundry rooms, entryways and mudrooms, home gyms and kitchens. Best of all, Place N Go flooring is made from 70% recycled materials (50% post-consumer) and is 100% recyclable.

Does this hold up to colder temperatures?

Does this hold up to colder temperatures?
Asked by: BobB
Hello and thank you for your interest. Yes, the tile will "hold up" to colder temperatures. However, due to expansion/contraction with temperature, we do not recommend you install this anywhere there will be more than a 20 degree fluctuation, as that may cause buckling. And always be sure to leave a 3/8" gap around the perimeter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality, easy-to-work-with product; very pleased Very impressed with this product, which I installed on slightly uneven subflooring in laundry room. I installed by myself in the course of an afternoon/evening. Cuts were a little difficult to make due to the thickness of the product, but it's that same thickness that sold me on the product. Snaps together easily and nicely; after 24 hours had "settled" down and seams are invisible. I have 4 large dogs, and they have been in and out on it with no scratching of the finish. Cleans easily and looks very good. I like to walk around barefoot, and it feels *great* under the feet!!! warm and has a little give. I will be using this product on the spare bathroom when I remodel it. Only complaint: could be a wee bit cheaper and the interlocking edges not being able to be turned/used to fill gaps because of the specificity of the interlock pattern led to a bit more waste than I care for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great choice for active rooms that have to look good I installed this in our basement fitness room. I had looked at a lot of other choices, including the jigsaw puzzle foam squares, but came back to this for a number of reasons: -Simple to install - I swept the floor and started laying tile. This was a finished room so I trimmed the edges to leave about 1/4" space between the tile and the drywall, and installed baseboard trim after the floor was installed. Looks great. -Durability - the tiles wear like iron. Dropping dumbbells, dragging benches around, etc... and just a couple minor scuffs. The floor is holding up wonderfully. -Cushioning - It was important to have some cushioning for exercise, but I didn't want to feel like I was jumping on a sponge. This is a great compromise; about as much give as a low pile carpet, but with everything else. -Moisture resistance - It is an exercise room, and there are 2 puddles of sweat on either side of the treadmill when I'm done. Yeah, I know, gross, but reality. With this floor, it's a simple wipe to clean up. My treadmill used to sit in our family room, and it was impossible not to soil the carpet...which is why the fitness room is now in the basement. -Looks great - actually, this was a major consideration. The fitness room is between the walkout doors and the rest of the finished basement, so it was important that the floor looked as good as the rest of the room when we have parties where people are walking back and forth between the outside patio and the basement lounge area. The slate appearance of these tiles fit right in with the rest of the decor. If there was a negative, it would be that I needed to trim a few of the tiles to get a nice fit, but that was an easy operation. I used my table saw to take off a hair from 2 edges and they went right together. A huge plus is that it will be easy to pull up the tiles if I ever need to. I consider these tiles to be a great investment if you care about the appearance of the room they are going in and you need the performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very forgiving for old house floor We purchased this for a 1948 house with poor subfloor for the kitchen. The floor was very forgiving for imperfections in the subfloor. We only used leveler for one area that was over 1/2 inch off. looks very professional. we added the sealer from the mfg. which took 2 days to get. I underplayed for waste. Follow the directions on where to start in the room. Do not start directly in the corner unless all your walls are plumb. NOT! Very happy and plan to use it in a game room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality product & easy installation This product is perfect for a basement installation where there is potential for water intrusion. We installed it directly over a (not quite level) concrete floor and even over some leftover tiles in a couple of spots. The Place N Go tiles snapped together easily and fit snugly. It feels great to walk on, even in bare feet. If it ever gets wet, we can just pull them up to dry and put them back down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Floor All you need is to take a good measurement in all directions, pick your starting point, plan for your cuts and start laying floor! It goes down quickly. Some of the pieces were slightly curled on the edges and needed a few passes with the deadblow hammer to seat them, but they are precision-manufactured and will eventually fit "hand and glove." They appear almost seamless when fully seated. The finished look is absolutely beautiful. We used these in our "laundry lounge." The added plus is that the tiles are waterproof, not just water-resistent. Great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the Investment One year after install and our floor still looks great; very happy with this product. After 20 years of a carpeted basement I was looking for a more allergen free approach to basement flooring. I wanted to stay away from inexpensive peal and stick tiles, engineered hardwoods (they don't stand the test of time), and ceramic (too much space to cover/messy). I found this product while searching. The click and go feature appealed to me for easy/quick install. I ordered samples and liked what I saw/felt in my hands. I covered nearly 900 square feet with two styles. I used the blue shale for a great contrast and then bamboo for our yoga room. This product has held up extremely well to teenage traffic and a dog. It cleans up quickly with either a dust mop or the occasional wet mop. I haven't had any issues with moisture penetrating the seams of the tile from spillage, or worse, pet accidents. The installation was fast. The tile cuts quickly on a table saw. Even my 12 year old was very helpful and enjoyed assembling the tile. I couple of notes; I did purchase a couple of dead-blow hammers as recommended and felt they worked well. The tile does need time to settle in. At first you might think something is amiss as the tiles seem beveled on the edges or don't click together properly. Assembly takes some practice but then you will find yourself up and running and knocking out the work quickly. The tiles will acclimate over the next few days. The floor will settle and look great. I get many compliments from my extended family and guests. See the photos. And lastly, while they do say you could use this product in a bathroom, I had reservations about too much potential water spillage around the toilet. I opted for ceramic tile in a downstairs bathroom as it was a small area and used a marble threshold to separate the ceramic from the Place N Go tile and it looks great. I used a black silicone caulk to fill in any small gaps in cuts and its virtually unnoticeable.
