First of all I'd like to respond to some of the negative reviews. You need to understand how plant coverings work: Water the ground during the day when it's warm out. The ground will release heat during the night as the water evaporates, that helps keep the plant moist and warm. Cover the plant completely, and if you think it's going to be below freezing for more than a couple of hours, add some old fashioned Christmas lights or a construction incandescent light inside the tree. Then during the day, when it warms up, lift the bottoms of the covering so the air can circulate and you won't overheat your plants. Be sure to secure it again before the temps fall below about 35º again.
I just set a few chairs out by the tree and lift the bottoms up onto the chairs during the day. That works to release heat and allow circulation. I put a white covering on the top to allow for more light to get to the tree during the day.
This is a phenomenal product. It isn't just 'material' that you are buying, like sheets. It's far superior to bulky sheets and towels or blankets because it repels water and dries quickly if it gets wet. I love how lightweight it is. It's easy to use and secures just fine with metal or plastic clips and stakes. Putting it up was a breeze. I stuck a long garden stake into one grommet and used that to lift it over my 10' high lemon tree. All together I used three of these - one white and two green. They replaced 4 ugly sheets and are so much easier to use and store!
I bought the green ones at Bell and Cave Creek store in phoenix this year and the white one at the Tatum and bell store last year. Attached is a photo showing how I propped a chair sideways to lift the covering up now that it's 50º out. Easy to drop back down before sunset tonight. See the arrows pointing to the chairs.

This product was the most economical we could find and was easily cut to cover smaller plants.

We already have plankets but needed an additional large one to drape over our plants before the freeze. We probably need yet one more but got the last one there. They provide protection from the cold without obliterating all air

I cover my small plants in tender palms every winter and this does the job! It lets water go through so I can keep it on for a few months and the plants still survive! I'd prefer it in white but this is all they carry.
I use small wire clips (like metal clothes pins) to hold it and it lasts year after year. In fact, I've used this material for over 25 years! It's similar to the lining used in ski jackets for warmth!

Love the Planket. It is large enough for a planting bed (which I don't yet have), I have lots of new plants in large pots on my deck, and would have had to replace them a number of times if I hadn't had the Planket to protect them on nights when the temps fall below freezing.

Kept the frost of my plants. Material is very thin so use care with laying it out. Poked a few holes in it the first time we used it.
